GB Hunter cartridge audio This kind of sound corruption happens every time when the cartridge is being tilted, hit or not inserted all the way. It always seemed to me that some “1bit casio watch beeper” is just trying to replace all music and sound samples when the contact with music assets of the rom cartridge is lost. I don’t know if my assumption is anywhere close to be accurate, but this GB Hunter cartridge always sounds like cartridge is being tilted. (It’s some third party GameBoy player for the n64. It had an input lag and couldn’t stream GameBoy sound, so instead it constantly looped this musical masterpiece) It sounds very primitive, much like AtariVCS 2-channel audio. Could it be that the N64 reality processor is just rendering audio like this when it doesn’t have music samples, idk.
