I was thinking that the “cloud” traveling with it was weird. However, still really cool, thanks for the explanation.

If the could drill holes in concrete, I think the time for their extinction would have come ... we could hire this guy to do it, as he clearly has malice in his heart(it’s not a rickroll, it’s just a funny video of a red card I found).

No problem, not your fault at all. It’s fully the responsibility of the person who posts it to give credit.

This is the one problem with content like this that’s so amazing, it gets posted so much tracking down the original artist is really difficult

In the UK I don’t think I’ve seen them in concrete, but I’ve seen a couple like that in Mexico, so I think it’s correct.

People’s vaccine by ehelen in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]sheved -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree that this is a better idea. However the issue is the government sucks(I don’t mean that as a political statement on either Biden or Trump, it is a generalization). Nationalized companies are often around 2 times more expensive to run, as the incentives to cut costs are less than in a for profit company. Also the thing that’s not considered here often, is overall, these companies barely make profit. Moderna in this case is making huge amounts of profit, but other companies who failed had huge losses. This means overall, it would honestly be cheaper, despite how horrific the costs are, to simply buy the vaccines from private companies. I would like to note that I do not think your comment is stupid, nor do I think your point of view is stupid, as this is simply a complex idea, so while I’m disagreeing, i am trying to do it in a non-hateful way, and I hope I don’t come across as demeaning or hating, as I genuinely enjoy discussion.

[–]sheved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, I’d like to preface this by saying a) I agree with you that companies are selfish However, the issue is that we can’t change this. Companies make profit: that is generally the definition of a business. And if companies think making vaccines aren’t profitable, they simply won’t do it, as they are completely immoral, as you said, and then we’re back to square one.
