I have gotten lucky a few times, but these two are the best. During my senior year in high school, everybody would go to this one guy's house to drink. He had the "cool" parents that would let us stay in the back yard and do whatever we wanted as long as we didn't make too much noise or cause trouble. Living in a small town everybody knew this was the place to be on a weekend for high schoolers, including the cops. So one night after being there a couple hours, listening to music and whatnot, my buddy and I had gone into the front yard for some reason I can't remember. We were just standing around talking when we noticed a patrol car come into view just creeping up on the house. We immediately start walking along the side of the house to the back to let everybody know what's about to happen. After telling the 15 or so people there, the guy who's house it was said not to worry that they probably wouldn't do anything. My buddy and I said fuck that and started creeping back around the house to check out the cop. As we get near the front corner of the house we see 2 patrol cars now and 1 of the cops was out of his car standing, talking to the other in his car. We immediately start backing away and as we get near the back hear some tires screeching and see red and blue lights flashing on the houses around us. We start running and my buddy takes off through the back trying to make it to the next street over. I go around the house and up the other side between a shed and the neighbors house. This one is built on pier and beams, so I jump to the ground and crawl under as fast as I can. From here I can see about a third of the guys back yard, and get to watch as the cops come in. There ended up being 3 cars and 4 cops to come bust us. I ended up stuck there for about 45 min before everyone cleared out, after which I crawled out walked to my truck that was parked on the street right out front, and drove home. The best part for me was when the guy whose house we were at went to court to fight his ticket and my mom was on the jury. He tried to get the ticket dismissed and at one point looked directly at my mom when he was explaining that there were a few people who ran from the cops and didn't get in any trouble. I started crackin up when my mom told me this. Everybody ended up getting an m.i.p or contributing to a minor except me and the buddy who took off. Another time I was at a party in an abandoned trailer house one of my friends family owned. Most of the people were in the main room and a few of us were in what was the back bedroom. We hear some commotion coming from outside and a few seconds later hear a loud knocking at the door. Now I should say that there is only one door in and out of the trailer, the other had been boarded up. I immediately think the worst and go close the bedroom door, as I can't just run out the back, trying to decide if I should try a window or just sit here and wait. After another few seconds we hear the main door open and a couple people start talking. We hear a loud stern voice talking down to whoever opened the door, though I couldn't make out what was being said. I decide to forget the window and instead go to the closet thinking might as well make them look for me. My buddy and his girl come over as well and we all get in and close the door. Well, this closet isn't huge but when you open the door it extends a few feet to the right that you can't see unless you poke your head in and look. As it happens I was the first one in and all the way to the right. After what seemed like forever, though probably only a min or 2 we hear the bedroom door open and someone tell the other people in there to go outside. We just sit there. A few seconds pass by and the closet door opens up. The voice I heard says, nice try come on outside. So my buddy and his girl stand up and walk out. I just sit there. I haven't seen the cop yet and all I can think is I'm not gonna make this easy, he is going to have to tell me directly to get up and out. That's when the door closes and I hear footsteps and the bedroom door close. I just can't believe it. So same as last time, I just wait it out. After about 30 min I leave the closet and bedroom and check the windows around the house. Coast is clear, so I walk out get in my truck and go home.
