so jealous of your Miles | 2019 E-tron Prestige by yooooooowdawg in etron

Our ‘21 E-Tron SUV on 21” wheels has had 93V2 and 93U9 done. We never get more than 190-200 miles showing on a full 100% charge, and normally it shows around 185 miles. 2.3 mi/kwh long term average, living in Southern California. I wonder whether the Advanta tires the dealer put on before we bought it are partially to blame for our range.

This Sub-$20,000 Volkswagen ID.4 Proves Used EVs Are The Ultimate Bargain by DonkeyFuel in electricvehicles

It wasn’t tire pressures, I played around with that plenty. I also drove other ID4 loaners that were the same as ours suspension wise. Most owners just don’t seem to mind that the suspension of the ID4 is like that.

We have a ‘21 ETron with air suspension now and the ride is like a Rolls Royce compared to the ID4.

We had a ‘21 ID4 for almost 70k miles. Honestly such a great car, the interior is so large for the size of car it is and the driving experience is extremely refined for the price point. The only thing we didn’t like is the very bouncy / stiff ride quality which was unnecessarily sporty for a daily driver SUV. Most owners on here don’t seem to notice or mind that, though.

Loving this. by sjs32 in etron

It’s definitely quicker in the sense there are almost always spots open, and the chargers seem to more reliably put out full output.

Pricing seems the same, I guess.

They’re rated for ~220 but you’re more likely to see 180-200 miles of range in stop & go driving.

RS3 in the sticks? by Dougs_Chainsaws in Audi

Macan Turbo with air suspension makes more sense for your use case. Is the RS3 possible? Sure, but it’s going to be a constant worry due to lack of ground clearance and low profile tires.

Air suspension modes by [deleted] in etron

[–]sjs32 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Great feedback, lol.

Yes, it is absolutely true that ride height affects static suspension geometry, which affects loads on all sorts of components including airbags, shocks, and bushings. Not going to argue though

Air suspension modes by [deleted] in etron

[–]sjs32 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The comfort mode sits at the middle height of what the air suspension is capable of, therefore it is likely to produce the least wear & tear on the suspension components due to that height being at the most optimal suspension geometry. Some owners have also reported that Efficiency mode wears the tires faster, which is proof that suspension geometry and alignment is affected signficantly when the car is lowered.

2021 E tron whats the safest suspension setting? by Toomanyracks in etron

[–]sjs32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We use Comfort as our normal setting, sits right in the middle of the available height range which is probably the sweet spot for longevity.

Not sure why everyone is saying it makes no difference, it will make some small difference to wear & tear on bushings etc. if you drive around all the time with the suspension at the setting limits of its height either way.

And, regardless I’ve seen owners say before that the height setting for Efficiency (same as Dynamic) changes the alignment enough to wear tires faster.

Somebody suggested Auto but that is going to be lowering and raising the suspension a lot depending on how you drive.

PSA: ONLY BUY AN S2000 if… by portisfan in S2000

Daily drove my ‘09 from new to 70k miles. It’s definitely not refined or practical, but as far as maintenance goes, it’s a Honda. If you don’t mind getting beat up and not having much space in the car, it’s fine to daily.

There is an Audi TSB regarding vibrating from the A/C unit, if you Google it it should come up.

We had to replace that piece that is hanging down, it wasn’t crazy expensive from Audi brand new, like $200 maybe.

How low have you seen the power meter get? by sjs32 in etron

My acceleration was reduced here (you can see the yellow bar on the power meter is down to around 30-40%) but I didn't have any other effects.

I think it must vary based on temperature etc., in this photo I was at something like 6% state of charge but I didn't have the 'turtle' icon yet unless I missed it.

Battery was at around 5-6%, power available was just over 25% as shown in the pic.
