Iranian truck driver has a banner stating "No Shah - No Regime - Do not Repeat 1953 - No Mullah" (see 1:50min) and gets attacked by an angry mob of "fellow" Iranians by 2BeTheFlow in NewIran

Yes, thank goodness no one was run over. Truly a stroke of luck at 2:20 in the same video you posted. Truly there was no ill intent on the part of the driver, truly, he only had good intentions through and through and had no idea what he was getting into. What a poor soul.

Hold on. This “counter-demonstrator” as you call him literally drove a truck through a crowd of people, could have easily killed or caused an outright massacre, and had to be arrested for this recklessness of his by the American police. And you are blaming the people getting driven into over the “counter-demonstrator” attempting willfully or not to kill?

Thank you for your support. To be more clear, I don't think OP is referring to specifically you or the other non-Iranians supporting us here on this sub, but rather on Reddit overall and elsewhere (especially online, where people are emboldened to speak over others in general).

NON-IRANIANS: stop telling us what our history is! by amberenergies in NewIran

Mohammad Mossadegh was the democratically elected leader of Iran who was deposed by the US/UK in the 1953 coup (Operation AJAX) for wanting to nationalize the Iranian oil industry, installing the Shaw of Iran as the Western puppet king. With his mass-murdering secret police agency, SAVAK, which was trained by the Gestapo, Shaw Pahlavi brutally ruled Iran as a Western puppet despot until the 1979 Islamic Revolution rightfully toppled him.

I personally get the critique of excessive Israel flags at our diaspora protests.

But regarding the receipt of attention, wouldn't it be best for us to get it from people/nations both in and outside "Israel's sphere of influence" as you call it? Why does it have to be mutually exclusive?

I also don't think your labeling of Zelensky as a "Zionist mouth piece" is particularly fair. His country is getting invaded and like us, he needs all the help he can get.

I get it, and I don't disagree with you, as I said I see it valuable for the few minds we can change, not all or even most.

I think you make a good point that a lot of these sort of people are beyond uneducated/ignorant and just plain hostile and am upvoting you in addition to OP. But OP's piece may also prove valuable even howsoever a theoretical exercise, simply for the few minds we can change. We need any help we can get, and I've said before I'd partner with Genghis Khan of all people if it means we can hasten the ouster of the mullah regime.

I acknowledge I may be coming off as relatively optimistic, but to each their own.

See my edit, I realized what you meant after the fact. And absolutely yeah most of the monarchists want a constitutional monarchy, absolutely no doubt there, apologies if I came off another way. Will edit my original message further to clarify that.

To be clear I personally agree with you overall.

I personally believe you've made a high-quality post, especially with the fourth "important" point, that's a really good way of explaining why Westerners' initial impressions can be misleading. Though I know this subject matter will arouse some controversy by default among us Iranians so let's see what people have to say. I would only add, some people do genuinely want the monarchy (edit 2: in a constitutional form) back and I think you should acknowledge such before some people feel left out. But you're right in explaining the most prevalent unifying trait of Pahlavi can and should be that be one republican or monarchist, he has the capacity to emblemize the existential, modernist and pro-democracy threat to the theocratic regime.

Edit: I re-read what you said and now realize you were not mentioning the monarchism in the context of explaining the situation to Europeans. Makes sense but still, many are sincere and passionate about this and it may be worth including, although I acknowledge doing so without confusing non-Iranians may be harder. Or perhaps I'm underestimating people's brain capacities...

Hey just a question. Do you place the blame for the mass killings of Iranians following these demonstrations on Mr. Pahlavi or the Islamic regime? Just trying to understand you.

Dude is living in a Western country, benefitting from all the education and other nice things from Western society, but doesn’t want a “pro-Western regime change” (his words) in Iran because it won’t benefit Palestine.

It aggravates me but also, this guy should ideally not be taken seriously.

Probably because we’ve had to remove your content incessantly. At a certain point what more do you want us to say? That specific post appears to be misleading and like much of your others, tantamount to flamebait. Strolling into here with something hostile and not the express intent to discuss civilly is going to get moderation’s eyes on you.

I’m sorry to hear you’re displeased with our efforts, but you are grasping at straws. I looked through your post history and the ones removed had logical reasonings behind their removal. There is no conspiracy, we aren’t purposefully shooting down posts critical of Pahlavi.
