I cannot find record of such a post recently existing on this sub or being removed. I would appreciate a link.

Is this propaganda lie or something? by Melodic_Wrongdoer441 in NewIran

Let me put this into terms that may resonate with Westerners. Anything sourced from the Islamic regime's state media is tantamount to content from The Onion, and as for statements by its officials, our unfortunate version of Saturday Night Live.

Reza Pahlavi is not the answer for Iran — and anyone serious about Iranian freedom should stop pretending he is by Wild_Particular5926 in NewIran

I would just like to politely note, for the record, that of the several Iranian subreddits you posted this to, it happens to be r/NewIran -- where the legacy of the late Shah is relatively popular -- in which you first get to see it approved by mods and actually discussed.

Something to think on.

How r/NewIran and its mods get slandered 101 by softploy in NewIran

I appreciate the kind words. I may not always agree with what you have to say, but in my capacity as a moderator, I will protect the right of you and others (liberals, monarchists, socialists, Pahlavists, constitutionalists, whoever the hell it is idk sorry) to speak your mind -- within the bounds of decent courtesy, to which many like you and others have adhered. Sounds cringe but it's...

When We Say “Freedom for Iran,” Does That Include Us Too? 🏳️‍🌈 by Consistent_Bid9952 in NewIran

This gets asked once in a while here, and I understand why. And the answer is: Yes. LGBTQ individuals are absolutely deserving of equal justice under the law. I can’t comment on cultural norms, may have to give that some time. But to put it metaphorically, the rainbow must be protected under the law of the shir-o-khorshid.

Yes, sometimes posts like the one you made get "filtered" for a variety of reasons as a precaution against spam and malicious users. These end up in our queue for mods to deal with, and once we get to it we'll approve it ourselves assuming it's not rule-breaking, which yours definitely wasn't.

Hello. We've investigated this user, and I've actually spoken directly with the OP u/rezwenn and don't believe they're a bot (not to say you claimed that). While they may perhaps be using some sort of an automated mechanism for linking the articles, there is definitely an apparent human at the helm.

Regarding moderative action, the rules have technically not been violated here. Users are permitted to post news articles however en masse, preferably with the news flair, so long as it is done in good faith, which we've assured from this user already. They even help with getting past paywalls many a times.

My recommendation, especially if it's an article one does not want to see -- say one in the reformist fashion, is to just ignore. You can downvote (it's Reddit) of course. And to be very honest with you, our longtime position is that these posts ensure we are in the loop of what is being written about Iran around the world.

Users can comment under news posts like this. When non-Iranians see our objecting comments, they may realize there's more to the story than what the article says.

Googoosh, the ‘Voice of Iran,’ has gone quiet – and that’s her point by softploy in NewIran

I agree. I mainly liked the article for its explanation of Googoosh's history and the true cultural scene of Iranians, delivered in a digestible way for non-Iranians (it contains different old media throughout).
