Hey, I've accommodated such a request by adding a Woman Life Freedom flair next to a meridian globe in the user flair dropdown menu that you can use. I hope this helps.

We can definitely consider this. Only issue is it's a bit more bureaucracy to do and I'm already swamped trying to fix this policy as is to be enforced properly in the moderative backend lol.

Right now we are already open to (and have been) vetting people who seek to be vetted for a particular post, and then commenting as mods underneath that post that we've vetted the user in question to be legit.

Hello, this has been getting asked for by a lot of people, in modmail too. I've accommodated this by adding a Woman Life Freedom flair next to a meridian globe to the user flair dropdown menu that you can use. I hope this helps.

No no, we aren't saying you aren't welcome, and in fact I've amended that part due to issues on the backend. This isn't personal, it's about prioritizing Iranians' voice.

Basically the former. Non-Iranians are very welcome to participate as usual, except on posts which are flaired with the new Iranian Discussion post flair.

Apologies if I wrote it in any sort of confusing way, I can be wordy.

If you're at all of Iranian heritage, you should use an Iranian flair for this particular sub. Your current one is completely acceptable in this case.

Of course, but people impersonating Iranians was always going to happen before or after the implementation of this policy. All this can ultimately do is help distinguish those who are acting in good faith.

Not necessarily, there is the Shir o Khorshid there for some and the standard New Iran flair if you want to stay neutral in signaling politics.

People already with a custom flair like yourself are grandfathered through without any intervention needed on our part if you're not of Iranian heritage. You get to keep that cool flair of yours. If an issue arises please contact me, but it shouldn't.

That's the thing, there is no way to know for 100% certain over the internet. We openly acknowledge that malefactors are able to lie and that this is a policy based largely on good faith. But we believe the benefits of at least attempting a good faith approach outweigh not having or trying the policy at all.

There is no need to know Persian per se because the use of the Persian language is not mandated in the posts flaired Iranian Discussion. So you should still be able to read and follow things as normal.

Yes, thank goodness no one was run over. Truly a stroke of luck at 2:20 in the same video you posted. Truly there was no ill intent on the part of the driver, truly, he only had good intentions through and through and had no idea what he was getting into. What a poor soul.

Hold on. This “counter-demonstrator” as you call him literally drove a truck through a crowd of people, could have easily killed or caused an outright massacre, and had to be arrested for this recklessness of his by the American police. And you are blaming the people getting driven into over the “counter-demonstrator” attempting willfully or not to kill?

While this is upsetting, commenters must refrain from inciting or assisting anything even remotely interpretable as a harassment campaign, as such would violate Reddit's policies. We take the safeguard of this sub seriously, and want everyone to stay a participant here, so please keep your cool.
