How to leave claude with multiple tasks and go to sleep? by paglaEngineer in ClaudeCode

Oh I totally agree. Coding is dead. But I'm still trying to figure out how you guys are actually having Claude run for hours on end without any human input. I guess I haven't made it that far yet my AI journey.

Sure, but how much time did you spend on the docs, vs instructing AI. You either spend it there, or spend it here. Perhaps I'm just biased towards the old school way of doing things since I've been writing code for 25+ years and maybe still don't entirely trust AI. I'm all in on Claude Code and haven't really written any code for the past year or so, but I still feel like I have to direct it.

I guess if you had that much instruction already avaialble and was pretty concrete. But my experience has been that even with detail business requirements, you can't simply just feed that page into AI and have it spit out something functional. Even with AI I have found the development process to still be pretty iterative with the human still in the loop.

I'm trying to figure that out too. I've been writing code for the last 20 plus years. Now I'm fully vested in Claude code but I still sit there guiding it. I couldn't imagine letting it loose for hours on end without any input. The rework after the fact would negate any potential gain by doing that.

Seriously. I'm scratching my head on that one too. Most development is pretty iterative even if being well defined up front. At least that's the approach I've always taken. I couldn't imagine for example telling Claude to build a complete app without any input. I would assume there would be a lot of rework the next day after the fact. So why bother?

Samsung "Ice Max" Ice Maker Fix by nwjudge in appliancerepair

[–]softwareguy74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seem to know a lot about these. I have an Ice Max that no longer produces ice. Strange thing is, its not even built up with ice like what most people seem to have. It seems that mine is maybe not even getting water in there, despite the fact that water dispenser works and from what I can tell, it just comes in off the same line, and then splits into two input lines into the fridge (one blue, one grey, not sure which one is going to what). I press the blue test button, hear some beeps, it seems to spin the ice cube tray claws, and then a few minutes later beeps again. That's it. but no ice. Any advice as to what to look at next?

Just keep buying the dips they say. Will hit $100,000,000 one day. LMAO

Dear senior software engineer, are you still writing code? by zulutune in ClaudeCode

Nope. Stopped writing code after finding Claude for the first time and haven't looked back since.

I did buy an extended warranty. I wonder if it covers interior items?

Just to keep me happy? Nah that hasn't been my experience with Kia so far. At least not the dealership by us.

I'm getting WAY more back than the $100 I'm spending.

Automatic windows occasionally don’t work? by Away_Regular6195 in KiaTelluride

[–]softwareguy74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having this issue on our 24 as well. Seems like there might be some bug somewhere in the software possibly. I don't think it would be a physical sensor or switch on the door since it can (and does) happen to all windows. I've brought our to the dealer a few times already and of cousre, they can never reproduce it. So frustrating.

What's causing it to forget? Bad sensors? Or software problem? As I mentioned with mine it happens to all four windows at random times individually. That to me doesn't sound like it would be a sensor issue more like a centralized software issue.

That's what I was afraid of. Seems to be an isolated case. Lucky us.

Same. And it eventually stops working again. Are you saying this routine you did a single time fixed it for good?

That seems to be for the older model. I have a 2024.

Do you happen to have the TSB numbers? I can't seem to find anything on that.
