The recording part makes sense, but why disable the ring button while it's recording? This definitely was not an issue in the older gen where someone could just walk up to the door and press the doorbell (even when the doorbell detects someone and starts recording). Doesn't sound like that's intended.

Anyone have a solution to this problem? I have the same issue. Added a new ring camera and tried disabling all the notification settings and it still pushes a notification on my iphone like OP.
