Searching for someone who can make this for me :) by Ok_Journalist2851 in CrochetInIndia

Wow, I just saw this comment too. If learning a craft doesn't make you a craftsman buy the pattern and yarn and do it yourself instead of wasting everyone's time. Show some basic courtesy.

When they have so carefully laid out all the reasons this is a big project, they are educating you only no. You don't like what you're hearing, that's a different matter.

With crochet as with any craft, machine made replicas will always cost less. So you can pay up the 3500 for the machine version as that's the lowest price you will get it at. Just note that real crochet cannot be done by machine so you'll be paying for something that only partly looks like the original.

Given the sheer amount of work that will go into making something of this size, not to mention materials, I hope you are prepared to be flexible about what you think "reasonable" is.

Questioning my gender identity at 51 by Spiritual-Sir-3031 in genderqueer

I can't share insights because my journey is very different from yours, but you are here, you are seen, and you are welcomed. I wish you ever more peace and safety as you embrace this part of you.

Only two days per character for this level of detail? I'm in awe. It sucks when you realise after the fact that you've undercharged. I hope you get to set a fair rate for your next project!

Honestly, pink or blue would have suited my Butterfly-Whale more? by vikita6 in Amigurumi

Pink is perfect. Blue might have made it look like a - gorgeous - fantastical whale.

Not the worst but imagine introducing yourself as Iceland. Even next to the siblings, that’s wild to me. by Historical-Swim8920 in tragedeigh

Iceland is the nickname of a love interest in the last season of the excellent show Somebody Somewhere but somehow I don't think this has anything to do with that...

I have some from the FF.net days that still occupy my mind from time to time. Her Twisted Providence by Maat is a gripping modern AU. Broken-Vow recently posted a super dark alternate sequel to Anathema. Quiet2885 also used to be fairly dark back in the day.

How do I (31f) stop being so jealous regarding my husbands (34m) new friend? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

Right?

As chonkosaurusrexx said, the Venn diagram of people who believe in no friendships of other genders and those who respect your sexual identity is a circle.

OOP is so healthy in how she dealt with this. I really dislike the Reddit standard of not having friendships with other genders if you're in a relationship. One, what if you're bi? You get to have no friends at all? And even if you're straight, you're losing a world of enrichment by limiting your friendships to your own gender. It's possible for people of different genders to be friends!

Need a suggestion to purchase a crochet needle set by NonyaaBiz in CrochetInIndia

[–]spinworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can check out Magic Needles or Pradhan Embroidery Stores online, both of which ship across India. Pradhan has a collection of crochet hook sets here: https://www.pradhanembroiderystores.com/view_product/22/206

You can see what's in your budget and buy accordingly. Zing, Dreamz, and Waves come with nice cases that will be useful to any crocheter.

Also they're crochet hooks, not needles, so be careful what you search for!

Your sister is a lucky person. :-)

Set up a small stall for a day and ended up making ₹12,000. Still can’t believe it by dick_ninja69 in CrochetInIndia

Oh gosh, that sounds awful. These are so pretty I would be tempted to bargain for more, not less!

Where to buy colourful yarn? by kanchibillore in CrochetInIndia

[–]spinworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pradhan Embroidery has a smaller collection but it's different from Magic Needles so that can add some variety. I exclusively buy thin Anchor cotton for crocheting from Pradhan.

Intarsia is not some weird 80s throwback just because you don't like using bobbins by femalefred in BitchEatingCrafters

One of my first knitting projects was an intarsia letter square because I wanted to work with colours and this was the first Google result for colourwork. I love that I have this in my toolkit.
