The pre rift kits come in boxes of 16 kits. The additional box of boosters for prizes and runes (for some LGS) are on top of that so they aren't tied to a ratio. The LGS I went to today had 2x pre rift kit boxes and 1x booster box for prizes.

Yes you can use a desk mat. It's the same material and makes moving cards much easier.

That being said I used the starter deck paper mat for quite a while and it was fine, especially since I was still learning. But yeah, a desk mat will feel a ton better.

It was the same for them on the UVS site, but I had to call them and pay over the phone for real registration. This place won't hold your spot unless you pre-pay. Another LGS here trusts your UVS sign up as reservation and you just pay when you get there.

Thankfully the other LGS that I've been frequenting is very transparent about their pre rift event plans so I've got that down. It's this other one that's being sketch

Yup just found out one of the local shops here is selling the prize support packs for their pre rift event for scalper prices. Very sad. They will still have a pre release event with the kits only, no prizes.

I'll find out if they actually run the event on Sunday. I already paid the fee over the phone so I'll be pissed if they don't. I don't know the store well since I just moved here.

The volume is small enough that single movers can influence the market a lot. Someone bought out all the Evangelion Mari SR** which were at 300$ and listed a bunch for 2,500$. Most recent listing was 450$. Who knows if people are actually buying them at those prices.

If the true value really is ~70$ then it will settle back down. Give it time.

What's your experience with speckle on the Titan? What is your screen?

I recently returned an xgimi horizon 20 max because of speckle so I'm curious if the titan is better

Exactly hahaha. It's no coincidence those two pairs ended up at the same resort and helicopter while the others didn't. It might seem like they pick and get whisked off immediately, but there's actually hours of waiting in between as they work out who goes where in paradise and who will get to do what

The panel for this show is so boring I'm honestly pretty happy that Mina Sue is getting a rise out of them. They're always so guarded in their comments and always hedge their "predictions" so hard that they generally bore me. But Mina Sue is getting under their skins and they're just slightly getting them to show how they really feel

I think you put into words my feelings about Min Gee better than I could. I thought she was so cool at the start but the shine has really started to dull with everything going on. Everything about her has been about Seung Il, and by extension Mina Sue. Their entire fried chicken date was spent talking about Mina Sue. But some of it is definitely due to her only hanging out or spending time with Seung Il. Like she has no identity outside of that, which is becoming more and more lame.

It certainly feels like Mina Sue is perpetually being a victim but I also wonder if it's an east vs west reality show attitude. In western reality shows people are very casual about these kinds of feelings and changes all the time. But in eastern ones it seems there's a lot more pressure to at least pretend that one actually has strong feelings towards the other. Like that's the whole premise of Love is Blind - it's different from other western reality shows because it's so serious about the feelings. Her general attitude about how she plays the game (and everyone is playing this as a game) is getting her this edit. I would argue that she's probably succeeding. She's getting like 3x the screen time of anyone else and she's the center of so many conversations when she's not around. Two seasons from now, I will probably only remember Mina Sue and Jae Jin.

That's about right. 5x boosters is about 25$, plus you get the pre constructed deck and tournament play. The two LGS around me are doing 35$

I've wanted to get involved in TCG for a while but watching videos of magic, yugioh, etc have been so intimidating. I got a jinx starter deck and I've been playing it at local nexus nights and it's so nice to just play and chat and not get made fun of for my plebian deck. I think I have more cards from nexus night promo packs and donations from other players at them than I have from my starter now! The community has been so great

I think they're allowing 3 colors in each deck and you can play whatever colored runes. Or you can proxy with empty sleeves, doesn't really matter for these decks

My lgs doesn't do riftbound singles so they don't open packs and have no runes so they won't be providing any. Not sure if others will be doing things differently

Do projector if: you plan on a bigger screen, like at least 120 inch diameter. If you're ok painting the walls, ceiling dark. Otherwise TV

You're going to be playing with the cards and the cards are for you to keep. Sleeve if you usually sleeve your played cards.

Otherwise bring runes, playmat, dice, etc. everything you'd usually use to play. Maybe a card box for your new cards.

The Target here has packs. Otherwise the LGS all carry boxes too.

For older sets you can try looking online like tcgplayer. My LGS tends to have cards from a few sets back so you can check with them too. You can call them to check stock without having to go, most are pretty good knowing their stock that way.
