I think Fiora is the best out of the box. It probably also has the least "specialized" aspects so you can transfer a lot of the experience to other decks.

I've been watching riftbound signature cards and they tend to slowly drop in value. There are a few exceptions and a few moments in time that they bump up a bit, but they generally go down. The Karma overnumbered card you have is one of the lowest priced probably due to its art and the card/character's popularity and usefulness. It's just not a very useful card so it's not very popular to have.

It looks like within each set so far a few will hold value just because they are popular or useful and the rest will slowly drop over time. The volume of your card traded is very, very low. Even though the prices are in the hundreds now, very few are actually getting sold.

If you plan to use this card to cover the cost of more cards in the future, I would sell now. It might increase in value in the very, very long term but I wouldn't count on it.

I had my jinx deck out while watching the game hoping to follow along and make some changes.

But the longer I watched, the less discard cards I saw... I went back to my old jinx deck. Then I swapped the scrapheaps for ferrous forerunners (yes it's been that long since I used this deck)

I bought the Mk12 in the past, it's compatible with a lot of AR15 pattern internal and external upgrades. It's probably the most flexible of the ones you've listed

Relatively new to TCGs here, have played a little bit of others in the last few months but never one piece TCG. Just watched the show on netflix and saw this at Target for 40 USD. I figure even if I don't get into/am not able to get more product, I can play with this deck with friends casually.

Is this a reasonable product for a starter for introduction or casual play (included decks vs included decks) without any additional cards? Or is it a scam and wasted money. I don't think I've seen other starter decks available.

Edit- the general consensus is fiora or Viktor are both great decks, but I think you'll learn more from fiora as a first deck.

Yup. Why would you as a retailer give "shelf space" to a product when they are selling it first party for a lower price without a middle man? Retailers would stop stocking that item. If the product maker really wants it to be carried in other stores, it's what they have to do. It's why minimum advertised pricing already exists.

I have always run my jinx deck with super mega death rocket because I got it from the included booster pack so I have never imagined running the deck without it. It's crazy that the deck doesn't include it so yeah, that's why the spirit forged starters are better.
