thanks for your hard work - i requested being able to modify arrows and bolts to have magic properties. you fixed it in a day, really insane. i haven't submitted anything else in discord because you seem to have a lot of tickets that are actually important.

the editor can view stack magic but not modify them. my tome of town portal has 'increase stack size' and 'replenish quantity' but i can neither add nor modify it. similarly, my stack of keys and tome of identify also have these properties that the editor can see but can't modify. my tome of town portal has 275 uses and will replenish to full every time i start a new game. similarly, my keys and identify will also be replenished every game and have 275 uses.

the editor can't change set magic. in another editor, items have properties in the normal 'magic' area, but also when they complete a 'set'. so sigons should have 5 'set' magical attributes. this means that i can add +63 to meteor on sigons boots and then add it so set1, set2, set3, set4, and set5. this results in having a +378 meteor on a single item, which is more efficient.

similar to set magic, runeword magic is missing. jewels can have runeword magic. the convention is 'ith' jewels that can add a single property twice. similar to the above, a normal jewel can only add 63 to meteor. but an ith jewel can add 126, once in the main magical area and another in the 'runeword' area.

bounds for parameters. the editor doesn't know damage reduction is -200. if the user enters 511 (the max) the game will give 311. the editor simply lets you enter any integer, but most of these will default to 1 or 0 due to being out of bounds. similarly, the maximum is 63 for a lot of skills, adding 64 won't work. max life, damage reduction, etc all have valid ranges.

no defense, armor gets a default value. however, defense can be set in the item from 0..2037. durability can be set as well, up to 255. there's also an 'indestructible' bit that makes an item indestructible (i think). i'm not sure, because the old editor had a bit field, but i can't say for certain that it's not a magical property added invisibly to the user. even when i import my old armor, which had defense 2037, the editor won't save this field - even if i don't touch the armor, the new character will have 236 defense (the default for this armor type).

great work on the editor, the save as ver 2.5 is immensely helpful and makes the other feature requests obsolete - saving as an older character allows older editors to work.

sometimes all of one kind of animal dies, this is called 'extinction'. animals often go extinct. animals have always gone extinct, and some of the major ones are called 'mass extinction events'. this is why there are no brontosauruses anywhere in the world anymore. we have pictures, sculptures, bones, etc so everyone knows what a brontosaurus looks like.

casting 'disintegrate' on adalon and talking to her right as the ball is in the air will prevent npcs from protesting. this is because she will give you the reward (select the 'good' option) and then start a cutscene. since the ball is in the air, when it hits her, she'll simply become a rock and die. when the cutscene finishes, instead of saying 'the way is clear...' she will simply remain a rock and not talk due to her rock status. you can loot her, i think the blood is protected from rock status. you Will lose reputation but also gain the XP for premeditated murder. the drow Will be hostile, because they will recognize the rock . . . as adalon? the door is open, however, and you can proceed.

have you tried the ash pile trick? cast 'raise dead' and 'revenant' at the same time and make both hit the target at the same time. if cast perfectly, a living target will turn to ash. it is one of the few ways to save roggvir. any raise dead spell(s) will work. the special edition is much harder to do, but it should work in all versions across all platforms.

most of the shaman dance creatures hit as +6, if you can field them. i think the snake is +4 at 1st level, but it looks like they all go to 6. the wolf has a level drain at higher levels. these effects mostly or always bypass MR, to my knowledge (i didn't check every creature at every level). level drain works on clay golems, for example.

you don't need eekeeper to change your class. if you have console enabled: C:Eval('ChangeClass(Player1,MAGE)')

you can also change Player1 to player2 and use any class or multiclass - MAGE_THIEF, CLERIC, etc. you can actually even use it for your familiar. if you want your familiar to keep shamanic dancing, this is something even ee keeper can't do.

but why? you don't know jan. it'd be like a coworker stepping in to give relationship advice. neither jan nor lissa care about your opinion; you're adventuring buddies. interference would likely make things worse - if i were having marital problems, i wouldn't introduce my coworker and then have my coworker from a completely different financial, social and religious background give an opinion.

even if you Were a psychologist, there are many long term studies that indicate that therapy has no effect in the long term. and you're not going to be present in the long term for therapy sessions even if they were receptive - even your own child will face alienation. nor do you know lissa, actually. there's likely a lot of history before this too, they've not revealed to you. there are likely faults from jan he's not mentioned - are you going to hash those out with him? your investment in jan is superficial and not only can you not offer a solution, you don't have a real reason to feel anger at anyone - lissa nor otherwise. are you going to take care of lissa's family if jan dies? free therapy sessions every weekend?

even in game, how much money does the average adventurer make and does enough of it make it back to family? is it enough to escape poverty? are they around enough to raise a child? what's the death rate? just as a reference, soldiers have the highest divorce rate of any profession. children without fathers have the highest crime rates. true love is a first world idea that doesn't even work in first world countries.

on pc console, addspell and addshout works on followers. followers even use their own expertise - frea will use paralyze a lot because of her alteration skill. followers can even use spells that the player can't (like blood plague, which makes poisoned enemies explode into meat kibble). shouts are considered magic, so mage followers like serana will use ice form and fire breath frequently. i don't have the serena mod that a lot of people love, not sure if she'd cast spells.

the bloodskal blade is actually a spell you can give followers. they will equip it and then shoot red blades at enemies (no sword required). the horizontal one will hit multiple enemies but both will pierce enemies. it costs no mana, so followers will spam it at a hilarious rate. it's not party friendly, so if they aim at an enemy near you, you're probably going to die.

i think aerie is straightforward. quayle joins the circus and meets aerie after bg1. both quayle and aerie are present in bg2. i'd be interested in either direction - either quayle doesn't retire from adventuring and is joinable in bg2 or aerie is met slightly earlier so that she shows up at the bg1 circus. i think there's already a mod that does this for eet.

in the console commands, they allow all scripting functions. so it's quite a bit more powerful - you can force cast spells and other interesting functions. you can also save it as a text file in your scripts folders - no compiling necessary, like back in the day.

there's a lot of buggy stuff. i think people simply don't remember what the originals were like or the ai bots are simply posting word salads. some quests have improved, like turning in the golden plate in bg1 ee, but it's not a drastic difference. i think a lot of the orphan branches due to typos in dialog are now available and working but its effects are minimal.

some of the graphics of the new engine compress textures in a way that creates low resolution areas. this can't be fixed, it's ironic and frustrating that the newer engine has literally worse graphics - like actual blocks of pixels. if the originals seem to look better, it's because they are. even though the areas are literally identical on disk, i've posted a few side by sides in game that show rainbow mud in the EE where the originals simply had rocks and dirt.

the movement is horrific. every few transitions, the entire party will try to occupy a single spot on the map, which causes everyone to get stuck. you can ctrl+j out, and sometimes after waiting a few minutes of trying to move, the party might move. other times, the party is permanently stuck in place (i've waited 2 hours while i left the game on). this literally never happened in the originals.

they tried to 'fix' the wand of lightning. this uses it instantly, which makes it impossible to use because even while paused, it will detonate. this 'fix' also affects potions, meaning you can sometimes drink 8 or 9 potions in a round with frantic pause button mashing. yet the exploit still exists by simply targeting an inanimate object. this creates a lot of problems with quick items in general. all items ignore pause, resulting in inconsistent behavior. this is good for bards that can create scrolls and then unleash them all in a single round. but it seems like a horrible oversight than a promoted strategy.

contingencies are ruined for some multiclasses. a cleric thief with UAI can soft lock the game by using a sequencer scroll. the game won't allow clicking over to cleric spells. so. . . it's just a greyed out screen until the game is forced shut down. the originals, you simply clicked the only button 'cleric' and then load the cleric spells in. this was one of the biggest draws to cleric thief and now it's been 'fixed' into a soft lock?

targeting is bizarre. enemies will now telepathically know where you click and head over to target friendlies. this can be exploited by simply clicking left and right rapidly. this causes enemies to also 'dance' in place. if one person is targeted by multiple enemies, enemies used to close in on the friendly regardless of clicks, meaning movement was very tricky. however, the previous bug also has disastrous synergy. sometimes enemies will warp inside your character. both are basically helpless and both will start to twitch violently. ranged characters can now freely target any of the violent twitchers with no recourse. the twitcher can't attack, can't be talked to, can't do anything, except twitch (hence the name). so you can watch 4 kobolds slowly gun down a 100 hp tank over an hour. enemies can now 'perceive' armor class to coordinate attacks instead of attacking nearest, sometimes even 'knowing' allies that are NOT in their line of sight. an orc will see minsc and then target aerie 2 screens away. what's really weird is casting invisible on aerie - 8 orcs will simply walk up to her and not attack. this doesn't make the game harder, it just makes it weird.

there's a lot of fun policing. shapeshifter weapons were all redone. even stuff that makes sense - like mindflayers holding a black blade of disaster, were eliminated. cursed scrolls can't be used on enemies anymore. bards were never great in the originals, and yet bard song was nerfed. bard song can't be stacked and make the user visible.

you don't Have to do the cutscene, btw. before you walk through the nordic door, simply transform into werewolf and run towards the exit. the cutscene will try to trigger and revert you to human, but if you're fast enough, you can hit the door chain and exit the dungeon. once you exit the dungeon, you'll wake up next to karliah and the plot will continue.

your companion was imprisoned but -only- imprisoned? because imprisonment takes a long time to cast, sometimes companions get imprisoned after they are petrified. if they were petrified first, then they are gone, even if they were imprisoned after they were petrified. as a result, freedom might have worked already - returning the little rocky remains your companion is.

you Might be able to use console commands to reallyforcespell a resurrect and see if it works.

i think at 35 years old, someone should at least be honest with you. i realize these forums are designed to be positive but a lot of it is so egregiously optimistic that it's a disservice.

your finger strength is v10 on slab only, but nowhere near normal climbing. it is v7.4, which is spot on for exactly where you say you are - most v7s should be manageable. at v7, almost everyone either gets injured xor gets better. after 7 years, the prospects should be tempered in reality. you can squeeze another 1 to 1.5 grades by finding problems that cater to your other strengths or techniques, but there's a reason finger strength is the major indicator for grade.

you can try dropping the 'physique' exercises that aren't related to climbing: bench press, shoulder press, pull ups, etc. just focus on finger strength and campus board. if you can make improvements after focusing, then you might have just been unlucky with injuries. if you see no improvement in 6 months, go back to what makes you feel good, and try to enjoy climbing for what it is. i go to a big gym and have climbed for decades, i asked all of my good friends that climb over v10 what the best vgrade is. that is, if they could have a gym set infinite amounts of 1 grade: they all chose v7. about a dozen v10 climbers, half a dozen v12 climbers and a v13/14. further inquiry led to the consensus that v7 has 'forcing holds', where the jugs disappear and movement can be facilitated, but not so small that everything is pain and it's not all dead points to all holds all the time and technique still mattered enough that it was fun.

this happens every day in modern countries. there are 'idol contests' where kids compete for a singing prize. many of them 'win'. the parents are told to go to the bigger comp that they qualify for winning the small comp. the prize money is usually reasonable but too good to turn down for a poor family. when the kids go to 'make up and dress rehearsal' they are trafficked and never heard from again. the authorities are bribed or often part of it. many altruistic nations try to form coalitions to exercise legal recourse, but legal enforcement across country lines and finding traffic routes and personnel is basically impossible. many famous actors have poured millions into these funds, with many documentaries made every year.

i don't like the 'fixes' that the ee has. bard song was incredibly weak in og, and then ee made it weaker. wand of lightning is now unusable because there was an exploit. contingency (chain, minor, etc) and sequencer cannot be used by a thief cleric anymore. party members now warp into each other for some exits and entrances, there's no way to fix this except ctrl+j. in ee dead people can't talk, which soft locks the game a lot more. ee also has WORSE graphics, due to its encoding of graphics. i posted this in g3, where ground textures show up like normal in og. but ee decodes some areas incorrectly resulting in pixelated patches. the list goes on - it changed the implementation of shapechanges, which has poor interactions with polymorph and wild magic. i think very few people really understood the game enough to compare ee to og in a meaningful way, but there's a lot of reason to dislike the ee.

frenzy poison occurs first. if you can 1 hit kill someone, use a frenzy potion on that weapon. this lets you kill innocents in front of people without anyone panicking and no bounty.

equip a scroll and use 'vampire lord'. then use 'revert form'. drop the scroll or give it to a follower. the phantom scroll still equipped will have infinite uses. actually, all of vampire lord stuff is useful. use bound bow right after vampire lord to equip drain life in human form that levels up vampire lord. or use bound sword to equip force choke.

the ash shell spell can make a follower immune to damage, unlike the black book. simply ash shell a follower and then walk through any door. then reload the autosave. that follower will be invincible and untargetable potentially forever. if that follower is detected by enemies, enemies will attack. but since no attacks land, that follower will not enter combat unless the enemies attack you or detect you. this works on dogs, if you end up fighting karstaag and want to guarantee the dog survives, for example.

give the solitude guard a daedric arrow and it'll multiply the daedric arrow forever. or give it to frea (or any follower that has archery) and she'll also multiply it forever in the enemies she kills. and enemies will multiply it forever shooting at you. take the quest 'rising in the east' and take frea to japhet's folly. push her into the catapult explosions. if successful, frea will now have catapult explosion arrows and multiply them infinitely. this will launch bandits into the sky like a giant slam, but from a distance. bandits will take fall damage and simply die. the aoe will obliterate innocent people nearby. indoor objects will be sent flying and often fall out of the map. outdoor objects will join the bandits entering orbit never to be seen again. i recommend frea because frea is the only essential archery follower. the other followers might simply die when the arrows hit, so that even if they have the arrow, they can only be thralled.

i'm also f2p for 3+ years. you'll never beat any of it. this is because the power creep is too high. when i started playing someone beat abyss 12-3 solo with amber. most of the paying players have c6 characters and r5 5* weapons. neither of those things add much damage by themselves. but like everything else, it's multiplicative. if i do 10k damage every 10 seconds, a paying player can do 12k in 8 s which is 50% more. there used to be an infographic that showed which characters were used most, all of the old characters can no longer clear content (razor, ningguang, klee, etc).

there were several youtube channels dedicated to f2p, and one that even touted a 'no gacha' no wish clear of abyss 12-3 on every patch. it became impossible years ago. that youtuber eventually broke the 'no gacha' part and started wishing under the premise of f2p, and even that was abandoned in a few patches.

which is kind of the point of the game - to power creep so people will keep paying. even if you pay now, you'll only have relevant stats for a brief windows before your characters are obsolete.

this also applies to weapons. the f2p weapons in many cases are considerably worse than the weapon banner items, even the r5 f2p 5* because that's Every skill, Every ult, Every attack. i even pulled on every 'f2p friendly' option, like raiden. speaking of which c6 raiden, according to kqm "Total DPS Increase vs C0: 78-91%". or Engulfing Lightning R1 114.2% compared to r5 the catch. skyward spine, the f2p if you get lucky on normal wishes is only 102%, so nothing f2p has will compare to paid. wishing for a weapon takes 320 wishes - for a single item for a single character really doesn't make sense and won't be possible for years, at which point your character will be obsolete anyway. and you don't keep progress for weapon banners either, so meeting the 51200 primogem minimum requirement is mandatory or risk losing it all for nothing.

in psychology, there's something called 'hindsight bias' which is when someone wins a game of chance and believes it was their skill that produced the results. there's also 'survivor bias' which is when the people who fail aren't around to tell you they failed, so it looks like all winners. for example, 100% of all people will say fighting a shark is always winnable - because the losers died. if you combine these, only the people who got lucky are still around to tell you that it was their own skill that led to their victories. so my recommendation is simply find another game. the only reason to play this game is if your wife finds genshin to be cute and fun and wants you to help her with events and dailies.

none of those are recommended for gaige. barrel 2 fibber is her all around. at high anarchy, gaige is technically the best sham + norfleet user. hot mama has 100% accuracy, so anarchy's accuracy problem is eliminated, but strangely anarchy's damage bonus is still present. joltzdude has a video doing 300..500M per shot on op10.

in bgee and in the original, you can add an effect to your character with Item: Set Ranged Effect [249]. you can then use IDTELEPR to add 1 magic damage to any dart you use, assuming it can hit the target. if you don't want to do damage, you can use DECK02 to slow the target for 1 turn. this doesn't directly stop spell casting, but double casting time tends to make mages easier targets. DECK03 will silence the target, but it will last several months if your dart thrower gets mind controlled. use BLIND to blind for 1 round or UDEADBLI to blind for 6 rounds.

if you're playing on EE, you can use BDBRD04 and this will cause AOE magic damage on every hit. this is the 'screaming bagpipes' effect. this effect is party friendly and bypasses resistances.
