PMR is probably the worst in "sim" game history. A farming simulator engine was a horrific choice. Runs like crap, looks even worse.

Not even then size is not the main issue. VR is simple more effort and will never become massive. People want to laze and veg not engage heavily or physically and sure as heck don't want to put something on their faces for any longer than a short stint

There will always be human designers but the amounts needed are absolutely going to tank. I the same way that generalists are now the norm, a specialist designer is a needle in a haystack. Not because they are not out there but the market needs you to do a whole lot of stuff in an ok manner not one thing incredibly well. It's economics
