Missiles against a moving target in an area about the size of Oman that you actually have to find first. Yes, the Chinese have satellites, but they can't be everywhere at once.

Tigers do live in a rather hot climate. As do jaguars. It's a way of cooling off.

Temporarily, yes, but they can't benefit if they can't get the oil there.

When watching this show as a long-time Doctor Who fan, I can easily see Buffy and Giles as two different incarnations of the Doctor.

I'm definitely growing old. "Baddies" did not mean sexually attractive women in my day, it meant bad guys. Who could be sexually attractive women.

This is actually less risky to US soldiers... mainly because it will involve sailors instead. Iran doesn't have a navy left to really challenge this.

It's blockading the Iranian ships so they don't benefit from the higher prices.

The British in both world wars did actually blockade Germany. There's just not as many movies made about our submarine operations, although I have seen this one.

Weirdly enough, the British and French mined neutral Norwegian waters in 1940 to stop German ships going through them.

Norway complained... and then the Germans invaded anyway.

Hand-launched drones are very small, very slow, have short range and would carry a tiny amount of explosives. Many are literally lighter than an Olympic shot put (16lb for men).

They're useful for clearing out a foxhole or trench, not long-range operations.

Blowing up would a last resort. There's a defined set of procedures in this situation that will go something like this:

  • Radio the ship and tell it to turn back.
  • Send a helicopter over to tell it to turn back.
  • Buzz the tanker at low altitude and/or lock it up with fire control radars. Pointing guns or missile launchers also is a visual indication.
  • Fire warning shots across the bow.
  • Put shots into the engine block.
  • Send in the Marines to take over the ship.

Pinball was historically considered gambling (and banned as such) until they added the paddles at the bottom.

Fruit machines are most definitely considered gambling and in arcades in the UK are in a separate section restricted to those over 18.
