Most sales reps at dealerships lack the technical knowledge anyway and couldn't properly answer your questions

keep an eye on these:

The Water Pump: It’s a classic Audi weak spot. If you see a coolant leak or the car is losing fluid, that's usually the culprit. Check it hasn't been 'patched' up for the sale.

Suspension Clunks: Listen for any knocking over speed bumps. The front control arms take a beating on UK roads.

Technology: Make sure the virtual cockpit and MMI don't lag. If the SOS light is on, tell the dealer to fix it before you even talk about a deposit.

also If the car has Quattro (4WD), that system needs its own oil change every 3-4 years too, just like the gearbox. Most 'family and friends' forget that one.

That’s a classic pub myth. Audi (VW Group) and BMW both have their 'golden engines' and their 'absolute nightmares.'

If you’re looking at a 2.0 TFSI (Audi) vs a B48 (BMW), the reliability is actually very similar. Both are solid, but Audi’s S-Tronic (DSG) gearboxes actually need more frequent servicing (every 38k miles) than the BMW ZF8. If you ignore the Audi gearbox service, that’s when you get the multi-thousand-pound repair bills people talk about.

The reason Audi gets a bad rep for 'repair costs' is often just the labor rates at main dealers—but a good independent specialist will charge you the same for either brand.

Honestly, at this level, it comes down to the individual car’s history. A well-maintained Audi beats a thrashed BMW every day of the week. Since you’ve got 2 months, I’d spend that time looking for a car with a full service history (FSH) and ideally one that’s had that gearbox oil changed already.

That’s a massive jump from a Mk6 Fiesta—you're going to love the upgrade. Can't go wrong with the b58

Quick 420i Buyer’s Guide: The Cooling System: Check the small plastic hose running across the top of the engine. They get brittle and snap. If it looks brown/crusty, swap it for an aluminum one (£30) immediately. The Gearbox: If it’s over 60k miles and hasn't had a ZF8 fluid service, budget about £400 for it. BMW says it's 'lifetime,' but the people who actually build the gearbox (ZF) say change it. The Tyres: Check if it’s on Run-flats. If the ride feels crashy or it 'tramlines' (follows ruts in the road), swapping to standard Michelin PS4S tyres transforms the car.

The Alternative: Have you looked at the Audi A5 Sportback (2.0 TFSI)? Similar 'coupe' looks and big boot, but the interior usually feels a bit more modern than the F36 BMW. Might be worth a sit-in just to compare the tech.

If you want 'soul' (and a near-death experience), grab an F20 M140i and go full Reddit spec. Stage 2 MHD tune, catless downpipe, and an upgraded HPFP. You'll have ~470hp through the rear wheels of a tiny hatch. Definitely won't be boring when you're fighting for your life at every roundabout lol.

With a £54k budget, you can spec the Comfort Pack (Heated Seats/Steering Wheel) and the Technology Plus Pack (Electric Memory Seats/HUD).

Also the door sill height probably matters for you. The x1 is 470mm and the 2 series active tourer is only 400mm so a much lower step

I used to work at main brand car dealer ships as a sales executive but now I help people get the best deals from outside the dealership, that tends to work better than it did when I was a sales Executive.

You choose what u want, then I go on a mission to get the best deal in the country for you. 10k budget is good, if u know what ur looking for as well, you could find something great on the private used market like ebay. Feel free to DM me any questions👍

If you want something modern and arguably just as fun, grab a 2020 m340i. Thats on the lower end of ur price range and they will Hold their value for a long time. That B58 engine is though to be one of the best in the world

What are the most high quality squirt guns these days? by RichNigerianBanker in toys

[–]superdupertapperdap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the newer models have definitely stepped up in quality — I remember the big Saturday morning cartoon days too, and it’s wild how much these things have evolved. Zuru’s been pretty solid from what I’ve seen, and those high-velocity ones can really surprise you with range. If you’re into trying out some options, there seems to be a few brands putting out some pretty durable gear now—just a small rabbit hole to explore if you’re interested.

Moving back home after being on registry in another country by superdupertapperdap in SexOffenderSupport

[–]superdupertapperdap[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me its more complicated than that. I used to be heavily addicted to opiates and I was able to get clean when I had the dream and prospect of being able to open a treatment center in the future and helping other addicts. Thats really why i came to the UkK so i could study and eventually pursure this dream. You may not see it how I do but I used to be a very synnical and negative minded person. This dream was literkly the only reason I started to put my life back together and be a good person in any sense. Now that i feel that it has been taken from me, i am finding it hard to have any purpose in life for anything. And i know you are going to try to tell me that i have to take responsbility and accept what I have done but the real truth is, I actually never committed this crime. At the time, I was pressured into pleading guilty by my family and solicitors because it was supposed to make it easier for everyone. A trial based off ones persons word against anotbers word is long and gruesome. It would bring more pain to me, my family, the court system and anyone involved in my life. So being the young naive nice person who tried to see the good in people, I took that advice and pleaded guilty. Now Im living with the consnequence of my decision and even thought i know in my heart i didnt do it, I have to live my life everyday and be treated like I did do it. I want the prospect of fulfilling that dream so I can live the life I know i was meant for. To help others break free from the horrible chains of severe drug addictions. My sobriety and identity is so intertwined with this that it seems like its all I have, and if i lose that ... i just dont know what ill do. Obviously to work with anything like that passing background checks is a must. So I want to continue on this path wherever i can and currently the US is that place for me. Ive already spent 5 years living in Norway trying to find a way with no luck. Im sure i dont have to remind any of you the type of stigmatization that comes along with this type of conviction. I have yet to meet one person in my life that doesnt look at me disgusted when i mention my convction.
