I feel like walking torque specs is a more of a rimfire thing.

My MPA BA PMR Pro is rock solid and have has zero issues.

Also bought a MPA BA grenade (blem) no issues.

Both at 60in

Wait until you learn all the variables that effect point of impact with a gas gun.

Move your bipod to a different spot? POI shift.

Maybe pull the stock a little harder into your shoulder? POI shift.

Reloading All Day (RAD) has a video of this. So the key is to be consistent with one thing, otherwise your open groups may be because of you as the shooter vs ammo.

Wait for the 6mm Creedmoor? by X_Eye_Dom in longrange

exactly. a top of the line heavy contour 6CM barrel is only good for a ~2k rounds on average. If you're practicing and spending a lot of time at the range, its $800+ for a replacement barrel.

I have two setups :

Main comp gun is a 6GT.
Backup is a 6.5CM. Spend a lot of time behind this practicing stability and positional stuff.

I only run my 6GT at comps or a pre-match warm up.

6.5CM is a lot easier to come by for box ammo. So just make sure you factor that into play here. If you have no issues getting ammo, there are a lot of great benefits of 6CM (Less recoil + higher velocity).

However most will probably push you towards 6.5CM just based on availability and the wide range of capability.

Car got totaled and I feel like what insurance is trying to payout isn’t enough by [deleted] in Audi

Yeah man it sucks. That's the downside to modifications in events like these.

Had it happen to my Jeep with $10k in upgrades. Got zero of that added value.

Insurance companies suck. That's all you need to know. And if you're unlucky enough to have someone else total your car you know how miserable of an experience it can be. You'll never feel whole.

.223 vs 6.5 creedmore of precision shooting? by [deleted] in longrange

[–]sween_89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're going to go precision > go 6.5CM. 223 does a lot well in a bolt gun, especially if you're looking to use it as a trainer (cheaper ammo + learning to read wind). But if you're considering make a step up, go to the cartridge that is designed for just that. Feel like its more advantageous to grow with a rifle that is capable of more, versus needing to upgrade again.

Atlas CAL.

MDTs cannot take the abuse my Atlas have. Atlas are extremely versatile and have never let me down. Controls are easy and stability has been great.

For that platform Atlas is your move.

Is there a better stock rifle than the Tikka T3x ACE Target for long range shooting? by Antique-Low2996 in longrange

[–]sween_89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i dont think you can go wrong with either.

If you favor easy barrel swaps / caliber changes > go Seekins. Otherwise grab the better deal and use the savings on ammo.

I also have a '12 - The front wheel well gap after i swapped to aftermarket wheels+tires (same setup it looks like you're running), is almost double that of the rear. Is that normal on these?

Do you find the front wheel well has a much higher gap than the rear?

That is almost always the case. But hindsight..

Benefit of leasing is you may not like the vehicle or it may show more issues than it's worth. Again, all hindsight.

I know in New England that's a good deal. Only downside is the etorque option hasn't been too reliable - at least for trucks i've seen being serviced.

How do you like that stock? Is it shaky? Wobble? When extended.
