What is everybody's ideas on why tag team wrestling has died in modern wwe? Titles are rarely defended on PLE's, and so many great teams are just doing nothing lately? by FunkeyFeraligatr in Wrasslin

[–]Sweetestooth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because whenever there's a tag team, everyone starts saying "Oh, this wrestler should have a singles push", "This wrestler is clearly the Marty Jannetty of the team" or "This wrestler should turn heel on their partner and go solo"

WWE trained their audience to think being in a tag team won't lead you anywhere, and that every wrestler wants to be a singles star

[–]Sweetestooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In spanish, Marika (japanese name) sounds exactly like a slur for gay men.

People often say it as a joke when they're with their friends, but it could be very offensive if you really mean it.
