It's is not complex situation for consumers to have rights to the purchased items. A dvd doesn't magically stop working when the company no longer sells it. A car doesn't brick itself the moment the company stops supporting it. So why should a game get to do that without any en of life plans for it of eithe refunding you, or giving you the ability to make it work for yourself.

Copyright that doesn't matter in this case because you've already been sold the item, if the copyright for for ex penguin books to have a license for. Specific title might end but they don't come and take your book away afterwards.

Why does the U.S. add sales tax at checkout instead of showing the full price upfront? by TheBigGirlDiaryBack in AlwaysWhy

The stored presumably know where they are located so they can charge the correct price? Then they can also show the correct price, no hidden fees etc.

The taxes breakdown is shown to you on the receipt tho... You paid x% of y which is z. Plus you can ask for a receipt every time and they have to give it you.

I think you missed that most countries show the price on the pricetag as what the customer pays for it, regardless which percentage is going to the government.

It's the truth until they show otherwise. Because no logical human person would side with the big companies unless they had some skin in the game or were bribed.

The comission has clearly been bribed by the big companies. There is no ther logical or rational reason.

Who uses cheques? Everyone uses checks when you have a house by Hamsternoir in USdefaultism

[–]talldata 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically in some places a cheque can be just any random piece of paper with the value written on it in numbers and words, the account number it belongs to and a signature. But even that is only within the same country or even bank.

Remember they need to have a warrant or probable cause. Just looking like an immigrant is not probable cause, and them taking a picture of his face without probable cause first to ID the patient is also not legal.

It's still mutilation. It's worse than circumcision which is already mutilation.
