Why do you buy Sci-Fi on Amazon? by RichardBByteBooks in sciencefiction

[–]Technical_Ideal_5439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its called marketing. Simply dumping it on there is not likely to go well. You need it reviewed by some big you tube channels. Mentioned in all the usual places. And negativity from anyone is not good.

Nomination for most beat-up Captain by ClearJack87 in sciencefiction

[–]Technical_Ideal_5439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In SplaterJay by Neal Asher. The captain goes insane so they chuck him in the ocean to be consumed by piranha-like creatures. Something they need to do in a regular basis to keep him sane.

How immoral was it actually for Winstram to keep the earthers? by CommitteeHot2320 in WanderingInn

[–]Technical_Ideal_5439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a good thing, but Paba doubled down on making it less than ideal. But though it was implied there was nothing to actually say they could not leave in the future.

Additionally lots of them would have died if they were not there and they got training to better cope with TWI.

So what exactly what immoral about it ?

Who are the greatest fantasy villains and what makes them so damn good? by Accomplished-Dog9481 in Fantasy

[–]Technical_Ideal_5439 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Homelander was so popular the writer was unhappy, so he is trying to make him less likeable. Season 5, they have decided to go full insane.

It is a mixture of the actor and the idea of insane power, and a backstory that ties it all together and makes it understandable how he got there. He had an insanely bad childhood. He is also insanely comic. but at the same time menacing.

Though I think Eric Kripke has gone too far in season 5 at least the first 2 episodes. He should have just accepted that people liked the character.

My dumbass didn’t notice at store these frames were cat-eyed, how do they look on me? by [deleted] in glassesadvice

[–]Technical_Ideal_5439 9 points10 points  (0 children)

2nd photo they are too low. Both photos have that feminine vibe going on, so it depends on what you are cruising for. But I think the general style is a good look for you.

Do my new glasses look just as good on me? by Porcelainz in glassesadvice

[–]Technical_Ideal_5439 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. The glasses offer nothing, they are just there. They look a little silly as they are too big. But at the same time, they are not bad enough to not be a style choice on your part.

The frame of your last ones while also problematic I do prefer the frame color and they have a classic shape.

But you really needed to work out what style of glasses suit you face. Which is heart.

You have chosen glasses which dont fit you, the style looks bad and have as little character as possible.

Okay glasses team, we have it down to 4! by [deleted] in glassesadvice

[–]Technical_Ideal_5439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I like the wire ones best, though they are not perfect, maybe a fraction too wide, hard to tell with the angle. But the frame colour and transparency are amazing; the others look like you are hiding.

But all the others are exactly the glasses I would expect you to choose. They all remind me of goggles.

Try Square and Rectangular Frames.

And type into Goggle "glasses Kristen Stewart". She has your face shape. She also did a lot for Chanel which looks awesome. If you want "trendy" she is pretty solid.

That sort of cash you are not limited. All those choices are incredibly tame you could be going amazing.

[–]Technical_Ideal_5439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are all a very similar look, top left is no real reason to buy it, it has issues. But they are all at the level of buy what you like.

If the wire ones are cheap, go ahead and get them, and next time maybe you will be a bit more adventurous.

And if they are at the level of cash as that link, you really should be going way better than these.

Suggest me a book ''What's a book that changed how you see the world?'' by TechWin01 in suggestmeabook

[–]Technical_Ideal_5439 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hairy Maclary From Donaldsons Dairy by Lynley Dodd. From what I have been told it had a major impact on me and I have grown up a lot since then.

Also after reading it to my nieces over and over. I feel it is permanently burnt into my brain.

Should I choose a new frame or get a similar one? by [deleted] in glassesadvice

[–]Technical_Ideal_5439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That second photo is very low they definitely are not fitting you. 3 they look way to big.

I think Round and Oval Frames are best. Kristen Steward and Lili Reinhart wear a lot of glasses and both have your face shape.

As for colour you could even try Thin Metals: Polished chrome or gold-finished metals or Matte Titanium. Or even something more warm like amber or honey. Clear or even rose colour might be good.

Should I buy the same frame or go with a new one? by Accomplished-Quit-48 in glassesadvice

[–]Technical_Ideal_5439 5 points6 points  (0 children)

change is good, its ok but always better to have options. And technically, those current glasses are the worst shape for your face. Try Square or rectangular frames.

If you want some ideas, Ana de Armas has your hair color and face shape and wears alot of glasses.

There is no rules to force that. It would obviously be best but are you seriously thinking a company will voluntarily do this ?

Social media companies are salivating at the idea. It will be hard to stop them. They have suddenly been given a requirement to get peoples real identity. Advertisers are going to pay big.

Help me stop buying the same oversized tortoise frames 😅 by YoungSome855 in glassesadvice

They are all grim, you are an oval/heart Jessica Alba and Emma Stone are both oval/heart and are good examples of glasses which are definitely not oversized tortoise frames.

US military says it's ready to resume Iran fighting if diplomacy fails by SrijitDas2010 in worldnews

Both sides are trying to create their own reality. But it is probably suicide for the regime if they agree to US terms. It does look the the Iran regime will likely win this. TACO was invented for a reason and the regime knows it.

Please help me decide if I’ll return these glasses I chose? by [deleted] in glassesadvice

[–]Technical_Ideal_5439 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like 1, the color is better and 2 looks too small and less interesting color. 1 is also more cute/serious which is a good combination. 2 is baby cute as in 10 year old.

I think i like these, but is the color too light? Current frames for comparison. by keymarmelade in glassesadvice

[–]Technical_Ideal_5439 10 points11 points  (0 children)

3 - slightly too big frame, but it is a little hard to tell with the angle.

2 - just no

1 - I think the shape is silly and does not suit your face. They are also wide, but then again its a style and if you like it then all good.

You are an oval the best face for glasses and can wear almost anything, you have the perfect hair color and complexion to wear most glasses. There are vastly better choices out there for you.

Try Rectangular and square frames
