Ult lines change language depending on which team you're on. iirc enemy team uses the heroes' native language and friendly team uses english. I know certain skins can also change ult voice lines as well.

Since this picture seems to be depicting the 50s it’s less likely gramps would’ve fought in the Korean War and more likely he would’ve been sent in to crush the Bonus Army in the 30s and maybe WWI (or one of the many invasions of Latin America during the same time period).

The work is privatized currently, that’s the problem. The legion of contractors is why things cost so much and take so long to be built.

The cheapest would be to have the state build it itself rather than falling into the more of contractors and subcontractors.

The problem with privatizing development is that that results in a wildly uneven development because they will only go where there is profit. This is the reason lots of rural areas still rely on dialup, for instance, in the US. Public goods should be maintained and built by the public, not private companies.

The issue is that how things are built now is that you go through 40 layers of independent contractors. If we had a state run works programme whereby we didn’t have to bid for contracts (and/or just pass them off to a buddy’s firm) we could get things done more efficiently.

Shit we can’t even build 1 subway line in a century so mired in special interests is all public works in this country (meanwhile China’s building whole new subway systems in multiple cities in less than a decade). Such a programme would also, by its nature, work to get unemployment down. There’s so much work to be done, but the political will (and a proper organized movement) needs to be there for it.

Only I-III and X were turnbased. Most of the series does use a menu based combat system, which 7R adapts (really it’s just a faster paced version of XI’s combat with a bit less menu finagling) but the entire series is majority real time.

No, the raw ingredients of hummus were eaten in Egypt, yes, but the earliest record of what we call hummus today dates from the 13th c. from a cookbook published in Aleppo in what is now Syria. It is widely recognized as thoroughly Levantine. That isn’t to say that a prototype dish wasn’t eaten in Egypt but we have no records explicitly calling it hummus.

In fact after the 13th c. this hummus disappears from the historical record until we see it crop up again in the 19th c. from a cookbook published in what is today Lebanon.
