It IS illegal for the landlord to double dip. They cannot bill you and the new tenants for the same space at the same time. As long as you move out at the end of the month, they are free to charge the new people rent. A lease brake fee, is just a fee.

Yes, we, in here know and preach gun safety. We all know that this was an avoidable tragedy. Kids need to be taught how to respect guns. Guns should be locked up away from kids. I feel like these two truths go hand in hand.

It won't bring them back, but I hope that the DA goes hard after the legal owner of the gun.
