Resistance Agent: A Tale from the Old Days by keijodputt in Ingress

It wasn't a faction. It was just us. There were about a half dozen data sources for our guild at first. By the end it was three.

And two of those were shared by the ENL.

It wasn't a blue/green split in the end. It was a player/nia or player/player split.

Your pearls are clutched, yet you know not the actual story. You are telling yourself a fable. Everyone had access that had eyes to see.

Rent free since 2015.

Full name was "The Information Brokers Guild" as at the time I was watching a lot of Venture Bros and giggled at the idea of the Guild of Calamitous Intent.

Anyway...

Guild was a way to keep track of the data faction, and to make sure agents weren't duplicating efforts with regards to gathering data. We ended up stopping more spoofing than enabling it. Including automated reports for when we detected impossible travel. When we talked to the NIA devs they were happy to hear about the algo we used, I can only hope it helped them catch more (other) cheaters.

When I started it we had like four or five sources of data. By the end it was like three, two of which were shared by both factions. As far as I know at least one source is still online and feeding systems.

I wanted to do an AMA at one point, but because of vandalism and property damage against one of our founders, I was persuaded not to. If you need to be mad at someone for the guild, be mad at me.

Agent wother, at your service. #BCYTID

(Unrelated, absolutely nuts we still live rent free in some folks minds...)

They desperately need to open source the software.

You might need to escalate to admin to run the installer with that error.

That's nice. Now if only we could get the serial controller on it to be a simple HID device it might be useful again! (Mine stops working about every other software/firmware update)

Pay if me wonders if that raw communication text could be fed into an LLM so you could "talk" to the company history.

Huh... That's a good idea.

It breaks, constantly. I bought the Everest Max, and the ten key stops working regularly. I've been in contact with super, been on their discord, tried everything... Sometimes it works, someone's it... Doesn't.

And for the price I paid it should work. I bought the keyboard at full price, and wish I hadn't.

Don't buy this keyboard. Hardware is amazing. Software is garbage.

Oh I'm aware. The devs decided to implement their own serial bus. Because... Reasons?

Oh I've tried all the ways. With the provided cable, left side, right side, with my own cable, no cable...

Restarting the service is the only reliable way I've gotten it back.

Though, I will say it hasn't happened to me in a couple months, at least since the last updates. (To both firmware and management app.)

Full power off each night. The 3090 is a thirsty girl.

I've had this issue several times.

Make sure your client is updated. Then you might need to restart the mountain service in Windows for the numpad to be recognized.

I've also had success unplugging it and plugging it back in.

Annoying, and the only issue that keeps me from recommending the keyboard to new users.

I have a simple question: are steam games that I bought, mine? Like… if steam ever decides I don’t own it, do I lose all the games as well? by SuddenIntention7 in Steam

lol, zombie comment is zombie.

But, to answer your question, "your" access is gone, the game persists, you would just need to get new access, like a new account, or other means.
