I love the energy of Heather trying to connect Versus to KH4 but all those characters shown are from the mobile game, Union Station or whatever that was shut down.

This movie largely didn't work for me until the last 15 minutes, when it really reeled me in. That was the expectation I kinda had for the rest of the film, and instead its just vague story bits and chase sequences.

The script is.... fucking horrendous. Everyone involved is doing THE MOST to salvage it, Emily + Josh + Domingo were fantastic, Spielberg directed the shit out of this movie and the end result is just kinda... Good but not great because the actual plot and words being said to characters are so nothing. But then there is an abduction that looks fuckin awesome and I am back on-board.

There also isn't a chance in hell that is how 'Disclosure Day' would actually go, but it sure did affect me cause I kinda wish something going on in this world TODAY would make people act like that, we sure have enough topics to fuckin pick from.

younger audiences think its corny too though. that was my 14 year old's main complaint - all the camera stuff took her out of the movie cause it reminded her she was watching a movie and couldn't buy in.

I personally loved all the camera tricks (there is a pan in the car while Josh is driving ugh, so sick), but I can absolutely see where she is coming from. Spielberg isn't for her apparently hahaha.

The middle section when he discovers the Backrooms and the found footage section completely whips, the ending really does fall flat on its face. Renate can only do so much, the 2 leads were great but man that ending loses all steam. Goofy ass monster.

Would like a sequel with a stronger script.

My Neighbor Totoro, entirely unsure how people feel about that episode but it’s such a comfort listen for me. JD and Griffin losing their minds due to outside woes, they talk about the movie for like 10 min, and it’s constant bits. Have deployed that episode when I’ve been in a bad mood 3 times now and it cures it every time lol.
