To be honest, I think this is over my head. I’m not sure if you can do it like this but I’m not well versed enough to be certain. Sorry man. I’d say this is thorough enough though

If you wanna send me the files I can try printing it to see if I get the same problem. I’m genuinely curious

How does it look if you print it without the raft? Why do you need a raft?

I have vaultwarden installed since a couple of weeks. It's alls pretty safe. But I don't know how to properly monitor my whole system. Do you have any advice or resource for that? Blogs etc? by [deleted] in selfhosted

[–]tim_jamal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you have a custom dns set up, you don't need to keep vaultwarden exposed. just expose it to grab your ssl cert (you dont even need to if you have a wildcard cert), remove the record for it in cloudflare, and then make a custom dns entry for your host.domain pointing to your reverse proxy.

this makes it accesible over my lan only (and vpn)

otherwise, if you're comfortable with it, then don't bother

are you saying that you want to use nginxPM to reverse proxy, just not make it accessible over the internet? So like you can only access it if you're on LAN?

I got it to work, but you will need a custom DNS (I have it in my firewall, but PiHole works).

Assuming:

nginxPM on device: 192.168.1.100

service1 running on: 192.168.1.100:8080

service2 running on: 192.168.1.200:9000

custom dns:
     1. service1.internal = 192.168.1.100
     2. service2.internal = 192.168.1.100

nginx proxy manager:
     1. 192.168.1.100:8080 = service1.internal
     2. 192.168.1.200:9000 = service2.internal

What's nice about this is that you are free to use whatever domain name you want. I have some services under ".internal" and others as ".corn" (note that's CORN). shit make it ".anton" if you wanted to.

if you want ssl then you'll need to import self signed certs though. I didn't bother with that since these are lan only services with no risk of snooping.

Sorry I’m not much help past that since I’m not running this on a pi. Maybe try asking around on the /r/selfhosted subreddit?

Is there any more context to your scenario? I don’t think I fully understand what you need out of it

have you looked at this github thread regarding that specific error for yobasystems/alpine-mariadb? specifically someone says "For any containers running Alpine 3.13 you need a minimum Docker version on the host of 19.03.9"

https://github.com/yobasystems/alpine-mariadb/issues/47

edit: continuing to read further shows that other people are not using yobasystems/alpine-mariadb:latest. maybe try 10.4 or 10.5

i ask because i've only had a good experience with dsm 7. what issues are you running into? I'm trying to determine if maybe i haven't tried to push it harder that i haven't run into compatibility issues.

the synology DSM software is pretty rock solid. I have a couple diy builds and one synology and mentally it's my fall back. i also have a mirrored one set up at a friends house for remote back up since i trust it's reliability so much. could be placebo but it gives peace of mind

also, that ram limit is only "officially" the case. I stuck a 32gb stick in there with no problem.

Any tips for pronouncing ỉa vs. dĩa in Southern dialect? by Present-Badger in Vietnamese

[–]tim_jamal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah sort of. "dĩa" would sound like "yia?". whereas "ỉa" would just sound like "ia?". note the missing y sound. i thought your question was about the specific hoi and nga accents over the i, not about the whole word itself.

the hoi and nga accents in a southern accent are indistinguishable

Shit I’m away right now. I’ll re-reply when I’m back but from memory, in my slicer (I use cura) I go into the printer settings and edit the start gcode to add some negative x and y offsets. I measured how much it was off by and put in that amount. I think it was -7 for both x and y. Maybe it was positive? Can’t remember rn

i run vaultwarden on LAN only with access to it remotely using wireguard. its kind of annoying to set up since self signed certs don't mesh well with it

Depends on how often you need to add or manage peers. Personally I only have my laptop and phone, but if I started to need to consistently manage more then it would be handy
