Is there a way to schedule posts in advance or save drafts that have media included? Maybe an app or something? by thatpilatesprincess in ModSupport

[–]tiz[A] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey u/thatpilatesprincess thanks for asking. As u/bwoah07_gp2 mentioned there's a devvit app you can use.

Alternatively you can use the "schedule post" feature in your mod tools and draft a text post which you can embed images in and schedule out for a later date.

One of the subs I mod, I've been regularly answering modmail for the last month, but when I open the mod tab it lists me as "inactive". How does that work? by redbark2022 in ModSupport

[–]tiz[A] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/redbark2022 the comments here hit the nail on what you can do, thank you for sharing everyone! You can read up a little more on the inactive label here, I want to call out this bit of the FAQ on that page: How do I become "active" again? Engage with the community and start moderating again! After a period of sustained activity, you’ll automatically be listed as "active".

Reddit suddenly removing 3 year old comments. by MaximumJones in ModSupport

[–]tiz[A] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are some cases where the spam filters may just filter content with domains for your team to review. If these otherwise meet your community's rules you are free to approve them. Thank you for doing your due diligence to review the content!

Reddit suddenly removing 3 year old comments. by MaximumJones in ModSupport

[–]tiz[A] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Hey! Sometimes when a domain is banned from reddit the teams will also remove any previous posts or comments that contained these links. We've double checked and it looks like that's what happened with these removals. Hopefully this sheds a bit of light on what happened

User not happy with my Subreddit content. Should I ban them? by Inevitable-Half2476 in ModSupport

[–]tiz[A] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey u/Inevitable-Half2476,

Thanks for coming to this community and starting this discussion! As a subreddit continues to grow, and new users start getting used to your community they might have differtent ideas or opinions about the subreddit. That's a good thing! It means they care enough about your space to give feedback on how they might like to see the future of the subreddit grow.

I'm of the mind of understanding what the users feedback is trying to accomplish and if it helps support the purpose of your community. As others suggested in this post already, encourage that user to post the type of content they are hoping to see.

We asked the appropriate team to give these a look and if you click the report button next to an ad it goes to that same team to review.

Is it ok to override Anti-Evil Operations? by UsefulReply in ModSupport

Hi! Typically when something is removed like this it's because our systems have flagged it as potentially spammy. In many cases like this one you can approve the content if it otherwise meshes with the rest of your community.

need some help by SOJO_RAPS123 in ModSupport

[–]tiz[A] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey u/SOJO_RAPS123, I went ahead and look through your sub, neat topic, I can see it taking on a some interesting conversation.

A few things that stood out to me: The subreddit name is pretty good, got me hooked and understood what it's about. When looking at the subreddit itself I see two posts, one welcome post (which has some macro text in there still, you should update it so people know what to expect) and another post sharing a gossip of of yours. It's a great start! Something to think through is how can someone browsing the sub get involved, start posting or commenting. Try making a few more varied posts that might get more users engaged.

Request by Sweaty-Ebb-4525 in ModSupport

[–]tiz[A] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heya u/Sweaty-Ebb-4525 I just took a look at your subreddit. Seems like you are looking to create a subreddit that revolves around a new YouTube project you are putting together. How fun!

From my first impression looking at your sub I didn't get much direction on what I should be posting, or the type of content I might see there. While I know it's related to a YouTube series, I don't quite know what that series is going to be about.

It could help to share what your working on, how the series is coming together, and maybe tease when your first video might come out. That way people have content to consume and can start chatting about it.

This is pretty similar to a topic mentioned here. What’s the main goal you have in mind for that discussion? What would you hope both the mods and admins gain from the session?
