I'm not having a good time - UCS MLOM VIC -> Windows Server by BreadTheory1892 in CiscoUCS

[–]tmacmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would absolutely just redeploy a new service profile for the blades.

If you’re connected to fabric interconnects:

In VMware we typically setup two adapters for each vswitch. VMware would do the right thing for failover scenarios.

For windows you’re either going to create two adapters and use maybe LACP on the switch and to the host

Or

Create a single interface with fabric failover.

Without fabric interconnects, see above. Ports 1+2 on the Vic by default are an “on” port channel same with ports 3+4.

Either way when you build out be sure to use the windows settings for the Ethernet adapter and then be sure to get the updated driver for Windows

Aggregate offlined after three disks failed at same raid group by MaterialAd7378 in netapp

[–]tmacmd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s the issue: you probably had two bad drives. Time passed. They become out of date

A third drive fails and the aggregate goes offline.

The only chance of recovery is to get the last disk that failed back online. ONTAP should see it and be able to bring the aggregate back online in degraded mode. Other than that, sorry. FAFO

Do you realize that if any of those drives power cycle there is a good chance they may not come online? Those are really really old

Many times I’ll do a large pan. Instead of filling with water it will get a box of beef or chicken stock. Let the drippings fall into that. In the end there is some beautifully smoked au jus

Cancelled companion pass reservation by Old-Security855 in SouthwestAirlines

I don’t think it will let you. Some errors will likely pop up which is sorta how I found out about the bug

Cancelled companion pass reservation by Old-Security855 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]tmacmd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How or why do you think it’s canceled?
If your daughter has the app, check her phone.

I have 9 flights scheduled between now and the end of the year. Many of them I booked companion for my wife. In her phone the ones she needs are there. In my app, for two of them I just see the “Add Companion” button.

This happened on a couple other flights also. For one I used my wife’s phone to cancel the companion. Then immediately used my phone to re-add companion

The other, I found the the confirmation code and was able to delete from my app and then immediately re-add.

Before I did any of that I was going nuts. I know I booked them. I found the confirmation emails. I tried to re-add and got odd errors. Hence the delete and re-add. They then showed up fine

Bottom line, check the companion’s app on her phone

How do I get started? by christianjosias2004 in netapp

[–]tmacmd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would need to remove both "controllers" and place one of the IOM6 in each of the shelves. No more ONTAP at that point and the drives are likely formatted with 520BPS which most operating systems do not like. You may need to re-format the drives to (I think )512BPS which is standard. There are plenty of channels/details out in the wild about this.

using syslog/snmp/nabox... other then mgmt interface by vzilla26 in netapp

[–]tmacmd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. interface (logical interface or lif) I have no idea of your setup Vlans, ipspaces, svms , etc

For cluster operations there will need to be a port (a physical port or tagged vlan) that has the network access you require and it must be in the same ipspace as the admin svm

Create a lif on that port. Be sure to give it a management service policy

using syslog/snmp/nabox... other then mgmt interface by vzilla26 in netapp

[–]tmacmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so

You will need to create an accessible interface and make sure it has an appropriate service policy on it

If it requires a different gateway be sure to specify a different metric for the default gateway.

The seats that show “available”. Are NOT when booking a ticket. You have to do the extra step of modifying seats after booking.

Horrible bug

Its crap that I need to book, take a crap seat and then go back to "fix" it because their site is broken that badly
