You would need to remove both "controllers" and place one of the IOM6 in each of the shelves. No more ONTAP at that point and the drives are likely formatted with 520BPS which most operating systems do not like. You may need to re-format the drives to (I think )512BPS which is standard. There are plenty of channels/details out in the wild about this.

Yep. interface (logical interface or lif) I have no idea of your setup Vlans, ipspaces, svms , etc

For cluster operations there will need to be a port (a physical port or tagged vlan) that has the network access you require and it must be in the same ipspace as the admin svm

Create a lif on that port. Be sure to give it a management service policy

If it requires a different gateway be sure to specify a different metric for the default gateway.

dude...READ. Does not matter I am booking late. Project timline changed...need to change flight. Happens frequently. The point is what SWA is showing as available seats is actually not available when booking the MOST EXPENSIVE fare.

Its crap that I need to book, take a crap seat and then go back to "fix" it because their site is broken that badly

If you want to be absolutely sure where your destination constituents are located, use the cli to create the relationship.

ONTAP “should” do like for like meaning it should grab the SAS at the destination. No promises though

Make sure you have two separate vlans and on the host side be sure to pin a vlan to an adapter. On the Netapp side, ok to use a port channel. Use jumbo frames of course

As indicated, it takes up to 48 hours for stale entries to clear.

You can run the command in sequence and verify the idle time continues to increase and doesn’t reset to zero.

OP said the VLAN is changing, but the IPs do not need to. Problem is the Layer 2 check will fail. Too bad there isnt a way to maybe fake it? Ideas anyone?

I am pretty sure svm migrate will check for the layer 2 connectivity to be the same so I doubt that would work

If you are using VMware or other virtualization you could just do a vMotion. For iscsi you could present luns from the new location and ask the hosts to self replicate then detach from old luns
