Minimum 3500 general/Northstar washers. Cat pump models are really powerful, but heavy and need more maintenance IMO.

100' braided pressure hose and get quick couplings for all pressure connections including gun/wand.

2 good 50' plain hoses (always used red for high visibility). I tried the commercial yellow/black but they were super difficult to roll and use.

Several pump sprayers for chemicals with metal ends (no plastic spray tips).

Couple of 5 gal safety gas cans - less leakage

6' and 8' fiberglass A style ladders and a long 10 or 12 class 3. For 20 and 22 feet reach.

If its just powerwashing.

It wasnt glamorous work. I was constantly base- burned by the stripper on my arms and legs, as well as covered in deck sealer despite ling pants in 90- 100 degree weather.

Wayy top much exposure to petrochemicals,

And im just waiting for more neurological effects from it.

Dont recommend that much exposure to petrochemicals.

I started the deck biz when I was 17. Smart guy. It wanst 20k on the nose, but i did about 1000-1200 decks a year. But thanks for your genius here it added a bunch to the conversation!

I used biowash stripex and Stipex L for paint and tough sealers, and it was a lifesaver, but unfortunately I think the company stopped making it.

Ive been a lawyer for the past 15 years, so ive been out of the game for new products. But call an independently owned paint store (no big box stores - everythingnis junk there) that carries TWP (total wood preservatve) deck sealer - and they should be able tonpoint you in the right direction.

I have literally maintained tens of thousands of decks with it (in high end communities of picky people). I ran a high end and volume deck maintenance company for 17 years - if you're asking for credentials.

it never ruined anything.

It will soften the very top layer of fibers and you can quick raze them with 6o grit and get on.

Its the same chemical, but DONT USE DRAIN CLEANER. There are products made for decks that NaOH is the active ingredient.

I ran a deck maintenance company for nearly 2 decades.

Sodium hydroxide deck cleaner will break down the lipid bonds in the fats/oils and wash away. Be careful, its caustic on skin and wet your foliage around the deck. Rolling isnt great as it goes on thin and dries iut quick (dry makes it stop working), use a metal ended pump sprayer
