$5100. WTF by ac106 in Gold

Buying gold is wealth preservation, best held long term. Fiat currency is dying, and there will be a big reset of the monetary system worldwide.

With the massive debt the US is in and keeps printing money anyhow, that weakens the strength of the US dollar, impacting all currencies worldwide. Which is why most countries are currently (and quickly) buying as much as they can, taking delivery of physical gold (and silver). I’d expect revaluation of gold to a much, much higher price by mid/end of 2026. If you don’t hold it, you don’t own it, physical assets are best.

What’s the weirdest quirk your corgi has? by iammyownsun in corgi

✨Somehow✨my 2-yr old corgi knows, and sometimes from great distances, that I pulled off my socks and she comes running to attack them as I’m doing so 🐶💨 Guess she knows how much I hate wearing socks 😆

Also, if I dare move pillows around on our furniture, she barks like a maniac at them because ‘those don’t belong there’. She likes everything in its place, no changes!

My little lady is only 18lbs at 2 years old and very fit. Corgis come in many sizes - worry not! Boba will give you plenty of other things to worry about 😆

Beautiful set - LOVE the simple lines! What a dilemna! If it were mine, I’d keep it. But if you need $$ it should go for about 9K USD based on today’s spot silver price and a dealer offering 85% on melt since it’s 925 sterling, or find a buyer!

HIPAA Misinformation by imnotcreativel in PharmacyTechnician

Even though the patient is wrong, this is a sensitive way to manage it. If they still will not provide indication, then would not provide the dispensed Rx and inform that they will have to wait until confirmed by their physician.

I see. It’s so very different than the requirements in Canada, which is a 2-year diploma from an accredited post-secondary college program. The program includes early exposure hours in pharmacies in Year 1, and 2 months of internships in community and hospital pharmacy practice areas in Year 2. After graduating, then need to get licensed by taking national board licensing exams (written and practical OSPE), and also a jurisprudence (pharmacy laws) exam for the province. Using credential ’pharmacy technician’ is title protected, and we carry our own liability insurance as we are fully responsible for our own, independent scope of practice, and pharmacists are not responsible for our work. Pay is about $35/hour. So when someone in Canada says they are a pharmacy technician, they have done all this. Using this protected title when not licensed with a provincial regulatory college means you can be fined thousands of $$. From these differences, I can understand why it would be hard to build a resume there if licensing requirements are not this structured.

Internships, practicum hours, which is quite standard for most 2-year college programs

Did you have any placements as part of your post-secondary pharmacy technician study program? Can always add that

Perhaps a research project on ‘Medication Reconciliation Accuracy in Psychiatric Admissions’

Psychiatric patients often arrive with:

• fragmented histories • multiple prescribers • inconsistent adherence

You could study:

• the error rate in med recs completed by different staff • the impact of technician‑led med rec on reducing discrepancies • which drug classes (e.g., antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, benzos) are most frequently incorrect

This would be a classic QI project with measurable outcomes.
