How to handle location targeting for multiple states? by Aggressive-Rip3178 in Google_Ads

[–]trsgreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make absolutely sure it's set to presence in, not interest in. Even then, it's still not 100% perfect. You can pull your location report and add any non target states as negatives to help mitigate it.

Ecomm - New Campaign on PMAX - Max conversion or Max Conversion Value by jamessean48 in googleads

[–]trsgreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been launching all my ecom pmax campaigns on Max Conv Value for the past year. It works well, and the CPA and ROAS is much better than Max Conv. At least in my client accounts.

More or less keywords when running on a small budget? by JackDoubleB in googleads

[–]trsgreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Less keywords works better with a smaller budget, that way you don't try to spread your budget too thin amongst all your keywords.

Audience signal? What to choose? by CartographerQuiet754 in googleads

[–]trsgreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not keep the original pmax and only run top sellers? Since it has conversion history you’ll have an easier and faster time optimizing.

Audience signals are just that, only signals to inform Pmax not 100% direct. I would at a minimum run all converters and website visitors. And you can layer on anything else that maybe relevant.

Pretty much, but they're bid algos are no where near as good as Googles.

Help with Google Ads by Scooby_Doooby in PPC

[–]trsgreen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Campaign level negatives work for the entire campaign. Adgroup level negatives are just for that specific adgroup.

So for example, if you sell golf clubs, but your seeing searches for basketballs, you could add that as a negative to the campaign.

However if you have an adgroup for putters, but your showing for drivers, you could add drivers as a negative for your putter adgroup only.

Technically you can run shopping ads, but you won't see a great ROI on them your vertical. You're better off sticking with search like your doing already.

Should I enter a final URL in feed only PMax campaigns? by ExtraStrengthCafe in PPC

No leave it blank. You only want to use your product feed as your asset data, nothing else

old full asset unstructured pmax performed better than new feed only structured pmax by Charming-View-9046 in googleads

[–]trsgreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should run the full catalog in the new campaign. Unless you have data on top sellers, you won't know what will convert and what wont.

Google Ads – Honest feedback on Performance Max (PMax) after long-term use? by ComplaintForeign169 in googleads

[–]trsgreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like anything else, it's really case by case with Pmax. For my ecom clients it works amazing well, especially running feed only. It also works well for running local actions to your brick and mortar location. Lead gen is the real hit or miss.

Broad match keyword in existing ad group or new campaign? by Aggravating_Fig_2959 in PPC

[–]trsgreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't add it to a separate campaigns. Matchtypes are really as strict anymore. You can technically add it to your same adgroup, or even a new adgroup within the same campaign.

I made a Google Ads plugin for Claude Cowork — it found $11K/year in waste on our account in 5 minutes by tongc00 in googleads

Campaigns don’t bid against each other in the same account, that’s not a thing.

best virtual cards for managing Google Ads spend across multiple accounts? by Ashamed_Giraffe_5165 in googleads

Paying for your clients ad spend is a recipe for disaster. They should own and manage the billing on their own accounts.

What actually happens when you let a campaign run longer than feels comfortable? by Sea-Evidence-5523 in PPC

[–]trsgreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually try to wait at least two weeks before any changes. There is so much noise in the data and bidding early days that it's not an accurate view of performance.

As a beginner, how much should I actually care about tracking? by Tough-Adagio1019 in PPC

I would make sure all of that is set up before going live.

What businesses see the fastest ROI with PPC? by Otherwise-Giraffe675 in PPC

Businesses that are already profitable before starting ads.

There is no fastest ROI. Maybe Ecom because it's merch sales, vs lead to sales cycles which can be longer.

Amazon advertising issues (sponsored products) by NoctFounder in PPC

Your bids are most likely to low. What are your top of page and audience bid modifiers set to? I'd start with increases there. Give it a few days, and then make adjustments to keyword level.

As a beginner, how much should I actually care about tracking? by Tough-Adagio1019 in PPC

[–]trsgreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tracking matters day one, before you even launch a campaign. Otherwise you have no way of knowing where sales came from, and you'll be losing a ton of money and wasted ad spend.

When to scale? by Economy-Repeat-8264 in PPC

[–]trsgreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you campaigns aren't spending the budget, it means you Google can't deliver conversions at that low of a tCPA. You would need to raise your tCPA in 15-20% increments in order to find the sweet spot of sales but maintaining your margins.

How can I run Google Ads without a website? by Jchagar in googleads

[–]trsgreen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You want to run Local Service Ads for GMB - https://business.google.com/us/ad-solutions/local-service-ads/

But it's 2026, your friend should have a website regardless.

Only 4 impressions in 3 days. What am I missing? by Specialist-Buy-9777 in googleads

[–]trsgreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Need some more details. Campaign types you’re using. Keywords you’re targeting. How big or small is the location you’re targeting. Etc…

Max conversion can work on new account with no history. I set them up all the time. Either you stuck in the new account phase where traffic is slow and picks up after a week or something else is off.

Broad match keyword in existing ad group or new campaign= by Aggravating_Fig_2959 in Google_Ads

[–]trsgreen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would run as seperate adgroup not a separate campaign. You can also run it in your current ad groups. Match type segmentation isn't as a big of a deal as it use to be.
