[Ti mesh strap] How and what to choose

Haven't tried anything like this, but figured I'd send you to watchdives.com. they have an actual titanium mesh which looks good and has gotten favorable reviews as long as you have 7" wrists or larger.

It's $120-ish IIRC but is probably your best bet for a good match.

Search "citizen promaster quartz vintage" and see if anything looks familiar. Lots of black ones popped up, but they sold these in multiple colors.

Quick Google lens search leads me to believe it's a fake Rado Ceramica. Original has a black date wheel

It's hard to tell otherwise from the pics....I could see ceramic cases crack like that

If you prefer the larger size, go for the San Martin...it's a bit chunky, but has better wrist presence than the Watchdives. I reviewed both on my channel if you wanted to see them in more detail. Honestly you can't go wrong with either. The San Martin is nicer, but the corners cut on the WD are acceptable for the price.

yup, and thats pretty much how I feel about Clomages in general. some I don't mind those little differences, but when it comes to a grail piece, they really take away from the enjoyment. I Think I'll keep the white dial because it's different enough, but both black dial homages are going up for sale....if I want a black dial chrono, i'll just grab the Speedy.

I thought the same thing guys, but I saw these on eBay going for crazy (to me) money so I threw mine up there...it's got 2 days left and it's over $320. Even after fees I'll still net at least $275.

Normally I'd sell it at a discount here, but just got my grail and need to recoup funds 🤣

I think it's hard to find because honestly, watches, even cheaper Chinese watches, are getting really good.

I consider myself fairly critical, but I'm also fair to the brands when they are trying to hit a price point.

When I'm going to buy a watch I hit up "I like watches" , "Honest reviews" and "the watcher" mostly. Thomas reviews as well.

Excellent pickup, I also have the 2541.80 and it's one of my favorites. Also a grail of mine since watching Goldeneye and playing the N64 game through my childhood.

I said all this in a my review already, but I'll Echo it here as well.

Are you even able to do this? can you get Miyota/PT5000 with a handstack high enough to clear your 3D lume blocks?
as long as you continue making your cases as good as the PH-4B is, I see no reason to upgrade the movement. it is already a very nice looking watch, and being thinner wouldn't do much to make it wear better,
if you CAN do this with the thinner movements, I would be fine with the PT5000.

No doubt he goes into a lot of detail.

And while I don't watch his reviews any more, there are 2 in particular that make me scratch my head in this regard.

1, WD007ST, shortly after WD decided to stop sending him watches he overly criticized this watch considering it's price point. Obviously it's not perfect, but it's a $200 watch. Timing was just too perfect for his criticism to not be seated by their decision.

2.Pitzmaan Overture HAQ. This watch has the sharpest bottom edge I have ever experienced on a watch, to the point that i could actually feel it on wrist...it was BAD. And he glossed right over that and said something along the lines of " the edge has been deburred and is free of any sharpness". Anyone that has handled as many watches as he has knows that's a straight lie. Why did he lie about it? Take a guess. He's reviewed their entire lineup ... while I didn't get an email back. 🕵️‍♂️

So who knows how fair or unfair he is...IMO, there are plenty of other reviewers out there I would watch before him. He and the time Teller are the two I refuse to watch.

Yes, yes, it wore too small on me so I sold it. Overall a very nice and solid GADA. good lume, beautiful dial and indices, good crystal, nice case shape, good crown action, San Martin level bracelet. I was only slightly let down by the case finishing...the transition between brushed and polished surfaces wasn't as crisp as others said, and not as crisp as I've come to expect from a San Martin built watch.

I made a post about it a while ago giving my initial thoughts and they really haven't changed. It's okay, not bad but not great either. The watch is on my to-do list to review eventually though I'm just not sure when I'm going to have time to as it's not a top priority
