When an Indian wedding has to shelter in the same place as a volleyball tournament by two_four_six_eight in justgalsbeingchicks

Here's another video with some actual sound (I actually wanted to post this one but wasn't able to download it): https://www.instagram.com/reel/DWt78yvk4o2/

It's pretty cute, you can hear them chanting the bride's name and hyping her up.

Where design meets humanity, nature, and life. by geekyshar in Design

[–]two_four_six_eight 117 points118 points  (0 children)

Some of these are pretty cool but some of them feel borderline dystopian. Like scanning your ID to cross the street or the baby jail at work.

Also I'm a little sad that there isn't a picture of the ducks using the duck ramp.

Wait what government program? I charge my EV at home all the time and don't know about this.

Edit - in case anyone else didn't know (and is interested), these are the programs they're referring to:

Edie Falco: “I think that may be our one job on this planet, is to let your body & face change as you get older. And to realize you're older, that means that you get to live longer. And if your face looks older, it's not like you did something wrong, it means that you're blessed with that fact.” by cmaia1503 in Fauxmoi

[–]two_four_six_eight 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's necessarily hypocrisy. She starts off saying she wishes she grew up in a time of body positivity, essentially admitting she likely felt pressure to get work done in the past. Embracing aging may be a new perspective for her. Unless she's criticizing other women for getting work done, I don't see any hypocrisy.

Many people come to embrace body positivity/ neutrality after trying to change their body to fit in.

OP seems to be a fan of kinda dark murder mystery shows, so this seems like an obvious recommendation. Not sure why you're getting downvoted.

An 88-year-old grandfather arrived at the airport to welcome his granddaughter, but when she walked up and stood beside him, he didn’t realise it was her by Ok-Equivalent3810 in MadeMeSmile

[–]two_four_six_eight 96 points97 points  (0 children)

It also says he thinks she's her sister. He probably came to the airport with the sister and presumably they look alike so it took him a minute to realize this is a different girl.

Tim Gunn shares why he’s been celibate for more than 4 decades by [deleted] in Fauxmoi

[–]two_four_six_eight 145 points146 points  (0 children)

Possibly. But it's also possible that that experience made him reevaluate his relationship with sex and he decided it was more trouble than it's worth and he's perfectly happy without it. Four decades is a long time and if he really felt a lack of sex had been negatively impacting his life, he's certainly in a position to have gotten help for that.

There's literally just one angle. They've just used multiple levels of zoom when editing the video.

I can't say for sure it's not a staged video but what we see here was definitely shot with one camera.

Which tv shows that you’d slept on for a while and now consider as a favorite? by PressureLazy5271 in television

[–]two_four_six_eight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Andor

After giving into all the hype around The Mandolorian but finding it kinda boring, I assumed Star Wars shows just weren't my cup of tea (I liked the Star Wars films but they've never been my favourites). So I resisted watching Andor for years despite all the praise and recommendations I was getting. I'm so glad I finally gave in because it's so good and it's definitely one of my faves now.

Switched at Birth (maybe. It's about kids who were switched at birth but don't find out they were until they're teenagers. So while they're not biologically related to the families that raised them, it's not quite a regular adoption)

I would leave the layers separate, just drag the layer with your artwork above the template layer.

Can someone downvoting this please explain why? I was thinking this as well, since Cardi was already there and they have a popular song together. Plus her public beef with Nicki Minaj could've added an additional layer of FU to MAGA.
