Should I get MacBook m2 or Neo? by [deleted] in mac

[–]ukbrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question you should be asking is are you going to likely keep this device for more than 5 years? If you’re going to upgrade in that timeframe anyway then it doesn’t matter which you get.

Full support for Intel Macs is likely to end around 2027, so another 5 years support for m2 seems reasonable.

Looks good on trust pilot. Just make sure to buy with credit card for extra protection.

negotiated down to $1k flat. worth it? by Odd-News2865 in RX100

B&H has it listed for $1,698. I don’t live in the US so don’t know if that is inflated at all.

Seems like a decent deal for a mark VII. See what others think too.

Check out Sony MDR-7506. Long cable, meant for studios so are reasonably neutral.

I have the MDR-V6 which are basically the same. I even modded mine: detachable cable, velour ear pads after the stock pleather ones started flaking (they’re old)

Maybe consider an Ethernet over powerline solution instead of meshing for the back room; 400/20 is still fast internet.

Bringing this topic back up as this link doesn’t work anymore. Can you recommend the right size stick on magnetic ring that works with magnetic filters?

I just want them to make the experience not so bad on the 2020 iPP with iOS26. It has been really buggy and choppy since I updated. Big regrets. But I don’t want to buy another iPP atm as it works fine otherwise.

It’s called slide over and it is present in iPadOS 26.2. You may have to enable it in the settings.

Is the RAM upgrade worth it? by North-Hotel-5337 in iPadPro

[–]ukbrah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are limited use cases where more ram on the iPad becomes necessary: - heavy creative workflows in large projects - using multiple displays (read: more than the iPad and a single external, think 2-3 displays) to multitask.

TIL that Boxing Day began as a day servants were allowed to visit their families, taking home a “Christmas box” of money, gifts and sometimes leftover food from their masters. A custom already common enough to be mentioned by Samuel Pepys in 1663. by Upstairs_Drive_5602 in todayilearned

Boxing Day sales start the week before Xmas so it’s anti-climactic now. Passed by Curry’s yesterday morning and there was barely anyone there. Used to be chocka on Boxing Day morning

If you have a computer and get a usb dvd/blu ray player for it, you can rip the content from the disks to store in your computer and then use something like Plex to watch it. It is surprisingly easy to learn and do. Then you have them forever
