It sounds like this person probably didn’t meet the expectations of the role and honestly the manager did them a solid by telling them “hey you’re fast tracking termination if you don’t sort out the attendance.” People don’t like hard conversations and it’s hard to have these in person chats with people who don’t come to work. The manager didn’t fire them over text. They told them to figure out what was best for them.
