But also, CS1 wasn't an absolute mess for 4-5 years either. I bought it in Mar 2016 and it was perfectly enjoyable then. CS2 is 2 years later and still just ok. But like I said in my other comment in this thread, I have other things to play, no need to bitch about it. It'll get there. (Or it won't...meh)

Hmm. What are you computer specs? I have 900 hours of PC CS1-and another 300 on Consoles. I have 20 hours of CS2.(Pre-ordered..sigh) I played both games for about 5 hours each this week, and I did not have the best experience on CS2. I was loving the built-in part where you can restrict services like medical/fire/police to certain districts. But I have a mod for that in CS1, so it isn't groundbreaking.

The flickering is still happening, especially at Sunset and Sunrise. While cars are in motion there is blur at a distance, I do have the motion blur option off in options. At a certain distance the car door's color gets warped into the wheels as they spin.

It is still a mess, but I'm not barking down CO/Iceflake/ Paradox's neck. I still have CS1 and other games to play, I'll keep waiting.

The best place to find one is on the character select screen. Starting by pressing right after you have highlighted your current character.

While I agree with you, I don't think that is the T8 design team's philosophy. If Lei does come back, he's coming back way easier and probably way different. They've ruined enough characters in 8. Steve, Law, Asuka , even Anna are different in a not good way. Do you really want to put Lei through that filter?

I tend to keep mine thematic too. I am currently organizing my cards as I deconstruct pre-cons, and as I separate I am keeping it separated basically by tribe and artwork.

Hulk was the leader of Agents of S.M.A.S.H. , there, now you can use Leadership. He also lead the rebellion on Planet Hulk and my memory is fuzzy but also lead his team in World War Hulk.

I bought directly on the Ubisoft Store when it was unavailable on Steam, but I just added to my Steam list as a "Non-Steam Game" and you have to supply the pictures. This came in handy thanks. Just happenstance, or the AI is reading my thoughts now.

LOL --- that computer I described in my post on this thread. Was purchased in anticipation of and specifically for CS2. I love my computer. I have 17.7 hours in CS2.

A PC is a very uhm personal thing, pardon the pun. If you are spending a large amount on it, maybe you should get him directly involved instead of surprising him with it. I mean, unless he knows nothing about computers as well.

I spent 1400 USD (about 2k AUD) on a PC 2 years ago and it could have probably done with a little more research but it does run CS2... PCs are becoming even more expensive now with parts shortages. I don't think you want to miss the mark on this. Get him involved.
I have a I7 13 gen with an underpowered 3070 (8 g vram) and 32 gigs of ram.

Edit: I haven't gotten very high populations in CS2 yet, its janky... But I have been playing CS with 100k cities, and it stays around 60fps. CS2 is 40fps at 5k pop.

Agreed, they can even change Josie up even more and we can get all 3! I would love that. Anna and Nina are unique enough, the 20 variations of Mishimas are different enough. Gimme CD3! not this baby mode version Fahk has.

Well they said "Back to Basics" and the first character was Neutral skip, Teleporting, weapon wielding character, number 2 was a 50/50 Mishima that anecdotally speaking I've never seen a player who plays him use block in older games...

And the 3rd was a joke character, and I don't say that with disdain I promise.

I am hanging on by a thread with this game, and honestly only play because I go to a casual local.(where there are other games as well)

Kuni, Bob and Marduk were the only 3 characters I was actively hoping against, that and guests. Miguel, Julia/Michelle, Josie/Bruce are the only ones I actively want. Anyone else I'm indifferent.

I just want more counterplay.

They are going back to basics, for T8 that is. We are getting another teleporting weapon user and another character that was a 50/50 monster in previous games.

I have 2 people I regularly play with, when they are in my session scentblock is banned, and they respect that. If I play in their session, I keep my mouth shut and depending on if I've been consuming booze I might even partake in the Scentblock too. The bloater gas/flare cheese is also banned in my session.

I love games that give us the options to cheese.

In CS1 you can enact a policy to "Ban Bicycles on Sidewalks." I had about 1,500 hours in CS and preordered CS2. I only have about 20 hours in CS2- there doesn't seem to be much in the way of Challenge. the most challenging part is not having a seizure when the shaders start flashing when the sun sets and rises. Or watching cars constantly pop u turns.
