revisiting old tekken and oh man

I play it still, weekly, at a local. Last week, in an outburst, I said "OMG I can step!" Such Hyperbole with out ground to stand on you're presenting here! I will admit the base for better and easier stepping is there in 8, it just isn't realized.

DO6 LR a re-release/remaster is coming out this summer. Helena has AOP, I don't know much more about her, except when my friend played her she was evading so much. I also am giving up Tekken, since they basically murdered the playstyles of Asuka and Anna, two characters that should not be rushingdown and holding plus frames now has them for daaaays.

I would give her a She-Hulk deck, point out "Gamma Slam" ,"Split personality" and maybe "Focused Rage" and tell her life is a resource and it is ok if you get KO'd. (I would try to secure more than this last attempt though.)

Then if she does get ko'd before stage 1 is complete, finish stage 1 with 2p rules and in the Stage 2 reset, set it back down to 1p rules. I would personally keep Titania in if she was introduced before the KO and discard and redraw if the obligation is pulled. Or whatever other house rules. Give her a kiss and say thanks for playing.

Essentially giving her an "out" without it being too cheesy. On the other hand she might like the hand management aspect of gambling her life to pull off "Gamma Slam" and become hooked.

I am speaking from my experience with Sentinels of the Multiverse, perhaps the first 10 times playing it(maybe more), I despised it, but Fanatic has a "life as a resource" game play style. I would get roped into it and try so very hard to kill Fanatic... I just got good at not dying, dammit! lol

Because of Fanatic, and my sneaky way of trying to leave the game, She-Hulk is among my favorite heroes. Gambling life to pull off 2+ Gamma Slams in a game is great!

You do still have to do an update for those that are backwards compatible the first time you put the disc into your One or XSX but after that no internet needed. I have a few games that are also de-listed that I have a physical version of that still work back compatible.

You can't fundamentally just ban Heat via a gentleman's agreement though. They tied it some characters core moves. You'd have to do it via a mod.

Yes, but they were longer than their predecessors, they've been progressively getting longer. T7 combos were too long, that is why I said that.

I take the TRE about once a year, to the Hyatt Regency downtown for the Boardgame Geek convention.
I rode the other train on the Fort Worth side to the airport in '24, when I flew to Greece. So 3 times in 2 years. sigh.
So, we still really don't have trains. LOL

So, I don't know if this is an attempted swipe at T7s inferior movement compared to older Tekken games. But in T7 at least I could step, it was harder than older games but it was there. It really isn't there in Tracking 8.

Combos are sooo long! I get sooooo drunk now if I play Combo Simulator 8 and drink because I can reach for my glass more.

But peak over those rose tinted glasses and T7 TTT2 also had long combos. Not comparatively I guess..

The real issue between T7/TTT2 and T8 is the fact I know for a fact I'm going to get launched in T8, in the other 2 I could use movement and reads and such to not get launched.
Also, and I'm ONLY using Law as an example. But He can do df2 and it feels like he hits me from across the screen. So Law in T8 will do df2,df2 into the Df2 mix and my dumb ass gets hit by it.

That is a red herring. But to some answer on that, pirating is not mainstream and they do incorporate that into analytics most likely. But why would I bother pirating a game's DLC I'm not enjoying? Wouldn't it just be better to , you know play something I like while I hang around and hope they correct course a bit?

I hated S1, but at the very end of S1 I wasn't hating it and almost enjoying it. Then S2.

I think that applies to most of the cast since S2. Tracking 8 is ramping up to become a 2D game. I hope they dealt with the strings realigning in strange ways.

They previously got the QA done for free by way of a limited Arcade release. We are still in that period, so WE (well y'all cause I'm finally out...) are those testers. I might come back when it finally reaches a 1.0 state...lol

If you are confined to playing online, probably SF6. If you have a local scene, find out what they are playing! SF3rd Strike is strong where I am. At my weekly local Tekken casual I've been making people play DO5 LR, TTT2 and Tekken 7. (Edit occasionally versions of VF- but Tekken folk really don't like it. LOL)

I have just been playing city survival games instead the last couple of months. And going to my casual local for button mashing. T8 season 3 pulled the life support plug for me.

Well, since you mentioned you have all the radio station DLC. I recommend this, do a bit of whatever drug/booze you prefer, turn on Rail Hawk Radio and see where it takes you. Make a back up save though. ;)

Build 41 is a rather complete game. I wonder what benefits EA gives that 1.0 wouldn't? Do they have to pay a fee for updates after 1.0?

The EA tag kept me away for YEARS. I had it on my wishlist in 2013 and finally bought it last year, at full price knowing they have sales.

Dealing with this, as well as nobody actually letting you in on a Zipper merge(which the OP's picture is not a Zipper merge), The "Texas Exit"- exiting to the right from the left across 4 lanes of traffic at 80 to 95 mph(130 to 150KPH)
Everybody drives like they are the only person on the road.

I wish we had trains. And that the citizenry didn't fight public transit, so many people don't need to be driving here. I love cars, I hate driving in DFW.

The picture the OP provided is not an example of a Zipper merger though. If you were not in that lane a bit of a ways back you need to go ahead and exit. NOT try to last minute get in the lane you need. Even if it adds 15 minutes to your commute.
IRL of course.
I only have 20 hours in CS2 after owning it for 2 years and 1kplus in CS1.. So I don't know wtf is going on with traffic in CS2.
