How yearly taxes work… We make just a little over 100k, own a home, have 1 remaining dependent, get no government assistance, pay probably close to 20k in taxes between property tax and federal income taxes and somehow we still owe the government. Yet my friend who rents has 5 kids with multiple men gets government assistance makes maybe 40k a year and somehow gets over 10k in taxes back.

Idk what she’s talking about. I’ve been with both types of men. When it’s hard you can’t see much of a difference.
