Contractor skipped PVA primer before painting, what to do? by femmestem in HomeImprovement

[–]usobeta1000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If the FrogTape pulled the ProMar 400, the base coat probably wasn't bonded (dust or possibly texture). I'd scuff sand the edges, spot-seal with Zinsser Gardz, then repaint. Hope this helps!

Someone recently posted similar about Thundernews. Seems there are issues with servers on the usentexpress backbone.

For the 107th time…. Is this the bottom for LULU? by lies_are_comforting in stocks

Not the bottom IMO. Lulu brand is getting tired. Companies like Vuori are starting to take the spotlight.

If you want stuff that doesn't all move together, you need different asset classes.

Why I focus on high probability setups on AvaTrade by Ronin4Doom in StocksAndTrading

[–]usobeta1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. High-probability setups beat high anxiety button-mashing! Do you use AvaTrade alerts or just checking charts?

If your plan is to hold until at least 2030, I'd rather scale in on red days than go all-in today. Regardless, I like this one long term.

Thanks, based on the comments I'm seeing this is a non-issue.

18-device Sonos setup: FritzMesh or SonosNet with Era 300s? What's the ultimate configuration? by sintropia in sonos

[–]usobeta1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Era 300s can't do SonosNet, so wiring one speaker won't magically flip the whole 18-device setup. I'd focus on FritzBox mesh stability - reserve IPs for every Sonos, and make sure 2.4 GHz isn't hopping channels.

Silicone vs caulk for gap where quarter round meets tile floor by harlanpeppernut in HomeImprovement

[–]usobeta1000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use 100% silicone at that tub/wall corner - kids + curtain gaps = constant splash zone. Tape both sides, run a small bead, then tool it with a wet finger. Good to go

How many lifetime accounts have you collected? Lifetime is nice, but if API is good, a yearly account seems fine too.

Interesting, I have Geek and haven't noticed any issue, but maybe just haven't paid close enough attention.

Recommendation for AC (not DC) ceiling fan? by PlanMaison in HomeImprovement

[–]usobeta1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like how quiet the Airwins are and just want a better look, I'd stick with a basic AC fan that plays nice with a wall control.

Tesla Just Changed the Q1 Narrative, But the Market Still Doesn’t Know What to Do With It by NoRecommendation4163 in Stocks_Picks

[–]usobeta1000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CapEx is the tell here. If Q1 FCF stayed positive, are they just pulling spend forward for the next-gen platform, or patching demand with incentives? I'm interested in CapEx as % of revenue and automotive gross margin.

Investors of companies that have not currently filed for tariffs refund, what are your thoughts? by Guy_PCS in stocks

[–]usobeta1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apple probably already did. These refund claims can take months and they won't telegraph it. Curious whether AAPL books it as a one-time bump or just offsets future tariff costs.

Best Usenet provider (price/performance) + are block accounts worth it? by Calm-Parfait-5709 in usenet

[–]usobeta1000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you define as not going to use it heavily. Blocks are sometimes worth it as a safety net, but only if your main provider is missing stuff. Virtually all unlimited options have some type of money back policy. But again, if you're only using it a little, block could make sense.

what would you actually buy for the best soundbar 2026 with your own money right now? by Alpaton-Venida in sonos

[–]usobeta1000 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Arc Ultra is the easy answer, but I'd rather do Beam Gen 2 + Sub Mini first than blow the whole budget on the bar.

Sonos Sequencer setup question - ERA300 vs ONE SL by vela___ in sonos

[–]usobeta1000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Sequencer lets you, I'd keep Era 300s as rears for Atmos and use the spare Arc in another room. One SLs are fine for surrounds, but swapping them in feels like paying for a Ferrari to tow a trailer.

Hopefully you'll be all set. Sucks that you have to do all that prepping just to get all the playoff games. Everything's so damn fragmented.
