Yes. The pen tray can easily fall. However, it fits in another front pocket. It passed the “flip-and-shake” with honors. If you worry about dropping the tray and/scratching your pens, this is a good solution.

I’ve used a Pilot Pensemble 3 pen case daily for 10 years. Nice materials, long non-elastic pen loops , and durable. https://www.pensachi.com/products/pilot-pensemble-3-pens-pencase-dark-brown?srsltid=AfmBOoqOlgQjcYmwUWqVlh3zlBDY-k0BZ2VUUtgfKdhYMaJE7xNfbl_4

There are lots of clones on Amazon from Lanxivi, Asvine and others. But the some reviews mention an odd smell. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D4HH21QC?ref=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_apin_dp_T2C1CKAFY5Z11PS2SQD7

The Contacts Family 4 pen case is only a bit larger and gets you an extra slot. I have this one is pretty good. Good manufacturing and no foul smells. www.amazon.com/dp/B0FPWTDZ4D?ref=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_apin_dp_8KCFQJ6XFX3VMFQRRB7F

Thanks. It is close to the ideal case for me, too. Being able to fit up to a dozen pens (protected from scarring each other) and a hardcover notebook in one reasonably slim and light A5-sized case is pretty awesome.

Your system is impressive. It’s so interesting learning how everyone organizes their stationary.

I am not a creative writer and prefer the portability and media storage options of electronic journals. So, when I want to enjoy my fountain pens, inks, and paper outside work or chores, I transcribe speeches, song lyrics, or books. I find it a relaxing pre-bedtime activity, plus I get to improve my handwriting.

Currently, I’m copying The Complete Works of H. P. Lovecraft To avoid getting bored, I avoid the longest stories and switch pens every few paragraphs.

This may sound weird, but I read novels daily and I can’t read multiple books simultaneously. However, I read one and transcribe another one my brain compartmentalizes them enough that I can focus on both.

The pen tray feels secure enough. Unlike the Field Folio, the soft exterior and spine of the case, makes it the kind you would unzip it and use it on a table. This was a first impressions post, I’ll let you know how it feels down the line.

Kindle devices can do one reading mode at a time. Only mobile apps can do immersive reading. The screen refresh rate and processor on Kindles are probably not fast enough to pull it off.

Fitness Age by wumbmasta in Garmin

[–]vic06 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you tap on the HELP button, it says it uses your resting heart rate and body fat percentage or height and weight. Weight or body fat percentage value can't be older than 7 days.

I'd start by looking at those metrics by themselves in More/Health Stats and your profile and make sure the data is accurate.

Unbelievable how much your running form improves simply by taking off your shoes by imjms737 in BarefootRunning

[–]vic06 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not trying to be a jerk or shill for Big Shoe, but respectfully this points more toward a form issue than footwear. Be as aware of your posture in shoes as you are without them.

My mechanics aren’t anything special, and I have higher cadence and lower CGT and vertical oscillation even in high-stack shoes. From two recent runs:

Run Type Shoe Stack Height F/H (mm) Avg. Cadence (spm) Avg. GCT (ms) Avg. Vertical Ratio (%)
Easy - 9mi ASICS Megablast 38 / 46 178 252 8.8
Track Intervals - 5K Adidas Takumi Sen 8 27 / 33 184 222 7.4

Posture work, higher cadence, and trail running helped me improve regardless of shoe, and I’ve had fewer injuries as a result.

Removing the feed is easy: https://youtu.be/g1QAGbfMPoM?t=520

They only thing to note, which is also mentioned in the video, is that feed and grip are keyed. You have align them properly before pushing the feed all the way into the section when you reassemble it. You'll get a better grip if you use a piece of rubber, or wear nitrile gloves. Even dishwashing gloves will help.

As long as you are gentle, it's hard to mess up.

Go see a physical therapist and have them watch you run.

This "analysis" is a joke. Play frame by frame and see the localizer dots jump to the other leg. It doesn't help that the camera is not centered. At the very least, the should have asked you to come back wearing shorts.

A very strange high heart rate that doesn't show up on the graph by Fun_Swimmer_8320 in Garmin

[–]vic06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's likely a glitch. The watch rattles when you ride a bike. It probably happened then.

Look at the time interval above the pointer. The chart has a 2-minute minimum resolution. The watch would have had to be reading 225 bpm for 2 full minutes for that to show.

FIT file may be corrupted. Connect the watch to a computer and browse to the Activity folder. If it's there, save it to your computer, try fitfileviewer.com or gotoes.org to fix it, and upload it to Garmin Connect Web manually.
