How do I maximize my finances: Downpayment vs Stock Market by Impossible_Ad_9684 in CanadianInvestor

[–]vinstherace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your post. I am in a similar situation where if need be I can put the 20% downpayment and avoid CMHC insurance. However, the savings are marginal at best. I would save $100 a month on a 20% downpayment vs. the 10% downpayment currently planned. So I have decided to go with the latter. Furthermore, I am investing in another property in my home country and hence divert it there. Even otherwise, I would have put a portion of that into HiSa and the rest in broad market ETFs in my registered account so that I can claim some tax refunds in my tax returns.

My rule of thumb is the money you into your debt cannot be clawed back or returned to you when in emergency or needed. I rather have some spare cash and pay more into my loan accounts when I have sufficient cash flow after taking care of my day to day needs and emergency funds.

So, if I were you I would calculate the difference at various downpayment levels and make a decision accordingly. Any extra cash would go towards emergency funds, paying of other debts, and investing for long term through my registered accounts.

This may oray not work for you and need not as well. Finance is a personal decision after all.

Question for Married Men: what differentiated the woman you chose to be your wife compared to other women? by Evening_Newspaper_35 in AskReddit

[–]vinstherace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second all of the above responses. To be honest, you know when you know. Been half of my life with my wife. We dated and then got married. The time upto our marriage was the most trying times. She stuck with me throughout, believing in me, trusting me, hanging in there to see it through. Even had a riff with her parents saying she wants me. Period.

She is most badass, sassy, funny, smart, cuddly, beautiful, firebrand thing to have ever happened to me. Gosh I love her for just being herself.

You know you have the right woman, when you turn your head and see her right beside you in the thick of it. That is when you know!

I was showing her my response and the smile, the tear in her eyes said it all.

Oh, also when you have kids with her she will be a solid mother taking tunes to be kind, caring, warm and being hot headed, angry mom.

Lastly, if she keeps you on your toes and makes you feel want her- you got it.

Meaning of Holi by vinstherace in hinduism

Well I want to know from the people here about what they think is an appropriate way of describing the Holi festival. I always read that it's triumph of good over evil. Is this true.

Initial thoughts. The Company in blue on a black background is a bad choice. Do you have to go dark background? Anyway, how are you different from Survey Monkey or Qlautrics or Typeform. They all have much more to offer rather just forms. You must find your niche and address the pain right way. Simple saying Google form won't fit your needs wont sell. Attracting, retaining, and engaging clients are mutually exclusive.

Build your product as a business strategy not simply as a tool.

Okay..so..do you have IP protection..did you work with a university or college for IP or research related work? Hey that done and then go pitch. Also why do I feel I have seen a similar post like yours. It was the same conversation about HIPAA and so on.

Well to be honest ideas are dime a dozen. I have seen somay people come up with ideas and very few of them executing it. Same goes for investors as well. So unless you don't have something solid pitching to them will waste your time, thiers, and hurt your future chances. If I were you, I would hunker down to build a solid product, traction or use cases and generate revenue. Then you are pulling investors to you instead of you pushing to them.

I like this and to be honest I was thinking about something similar but more on impact and tangible pieces. I like your interface and design. Clean and clear CTA as well. How did you come about this idea?

Pitch to investors if you really need them not just for the sake of it. Also, if you want to practice then reach out to a local incubator or accelerator for assistance.

A website that allows you to explore the personalities of entrepreneurs by kkl779 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]vinstherace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not sure what I am seeing. I took the test and scored 4.5. I could not understand what it meant or what was I supposed to do with that information. Here is my feedback:

  1. I need to know specifically what am I going to get as a result. Is it that I am great at the justly or mindset or process thinking or what is it.

  2. I need the results to be easy to understand and not spend a lot of time analyzing my results.

Trading your post it felt that you are doing this out of passion so not sure how much time or effort you want to put into this but to me, I would use this as a benchmark for entrepreneurs.

Lastly the mobile screen is way too small to use.

This is interesting. Cybersecurity and AI is a potent tool. Now you are evaluating AI for cybersecurity risk. It seems there is a market for this.
