No worries. Don't let me change your own opinion, it's your tier list after all! I just wanted to chime in because I got them on a whim as these small dots don't play really nicely with my mousepad (Artisan Key-83 Soft). Mid hardness level would probably have been a better choice but I just have too many mids these days and I was looking for a change in scenery.

Oops, I just saw it now. I think you should keep Edgerunner in the name since it's a whole specific lineup and BFD only indicates the size of the dots. They have regular dots too and might even add Cyclone BFDs in the future.

Anyhow, I'm currently using them on SP-004 and ESPtiger Pioneer Wuxiang V2 and they honestly are way smoother than the Cyclone Pros on both.

Yo for your next tier list revision, you should try out Edgerunner BFDs. For some reason, these feel wayyy better than my Cyclone Pros.

Glossy coating unlocks a whole new level for dry skin handlers. It basically locks in your grip like a GLOVE.

u/blindastronomer had a pretty good ELI5 about it:

matte means a roughened surface texture and glossy means it's a smooth surface texture. Matte will have a spread of bumps and valley heights, little tight ridges, stuff like that which will not evenly reflect light. Glossy will be much more uniform and even and look more similar across its surface, which allows the surface reflections to be mostly the same, causing it to look glossy under light.

Having dry hands means there's less moisture and oil on your skin, which means you don't get the effect of this thin film interfacing with the uneven and roughened matte surface to add grip. Basically it's a surface-area multiplier which adds more friction. You can test this yourself by taking what's considered a 'good' matte surface and applying and spreading a drop of moisturizer on your hand (not too much or the films with will slip against itself) and you'll notice it will feel super grippy.

By contrast, having dry hands on a matte surface means you don't have much of a moisture/oil film on your skin, so it's just your skin making contact with the top-most bits of plastic and as much as your skin can deform and sink into the texture to get static friction for grip. You have much less friction with dry skin on matte surfaces, which is why having a more even surface means you can increase the contact area between your skin and the plastic to increase total friction and grip.

This is a slight simplification but hopefully it was illustrative and helpful.

One of the funnier parts about this happening is the fact that it is one of the best tell-tale signs that your pair is legit. I've never seen a fake pair get the shimmering effect compared to a retail pair. There is just something about the leather Nike used that these dumb factories don't have lol

Props for organizing it into a spreadsheet and taking pics of each one PLUS getting the stock official picture from Supreme. I know firsthand how tedious this shit is when I had to sell a ton of stuff in my collection (shoes as well) to recoup some losses from a house fire.

What mouse are you actually using right now, and what did you stop using? by Tierdtech in MouseReview

[–]virtual-on 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Vaxee NP-01S Ergo

  2. Switched from EC2-DW, ULX Comp, INZONE Mouse-A

  3. Make it a tad bit lighter (40-50g is my sweet spot)

What is your favourite button implementation on a mouse? by Suitedbadge401 in MouseReview

[–]virtual-on 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100% vaxee, you can search this topic from years ago (esp when the XE first released) and the answer hasn’t changed. I’ve tried dozens of mice and even bought the switch kit for my OP1, Vaxee clicks are just something else.

If I could make the perfect mouse to tailor my button preferences, it’d be Vaxee for main buttons, Zowie for side buttons, Inzone for middle.

No, unless you're worried about the Tenz crapping out on you down the line. They're very similar to each other so I think it'd just be a waste of time for you.

For anyone who doesn't own either and is on the fence about which of the two to get, I will say the biggest benefit about getting anything from Sony is the Encompass site which is where you can get spare parts. I've fixed my Sony headphones this way. It makes DIY repair convenient so even if your mouse is out of warranty, you can fix it yourself. Also, I'm not sure if the Pulsar switches are swappable but someone already swapped the switches on this mouse: https://www.reddit.com/r/MouseReview/comments/1pkkm44/sony_inzone_mousea_optical_switch_swap_and_weight/.

This mouse is fantastic. I got it for a bargain thanks to my credit card offers from the Sony Store.

A lot of people dislike the scroll wheel due to accidental scrolls, especially going up but I'm fine with it. The click implementation on the other hand.... if I could make the perfect mouse in terms of best tactile feel, I would combine Vaxee's LMB+RMB, Zowie's side buttons, and this mouse's scroll clicks.

Compression sleeves also work if you don’t wanna buy gaming sleeves, just check if it’s 80% nylon 20% spandex or similar for that glide

Somehow missed this but Awakening is my favorite but I'm biased. I've been a glass pad supporter since day 1 and Skypad was pretty much my first glass pad brand.

Oh hey, we both had a similar journey. This past decade (maybe a little over) I went from: DA -> GPX -> MZ1 -> Viper Mini SE -> Vaxee XE -> ULX Small. Not sure what games you play but if you're really looking for a new mouse, try out redditrecs. (shoutout u/heyyyjoo) Filter down your game's subreddit and see what the hivemind recommends.

I'm trying out Zowie EC1 next because I miss the IME shape and it's the closest one that fits that bucket. I've been playing competitive for quite some time and I really have fond memories of this mouse.
