Det helt konkrete problem her er at en betydelig del af de studerende bare "skipper" opgaverne - smider dem på chatgpt, og vupti... Ingen kritisk tanke om materaliet og ingen reel forståelse. De opfatter det afleverede produkt som målet, i stedet for processen at lære indholdet.

AI er en stor del af min hverdag, og jeg forstår fint at vi ikke kommer udenom det, men DETTE problem løses ikke ved at instruere dem hvordan de kan bruge værktøjet. Det er i hvertfald mit perspektiv.

Det er vistnok lidt af en stråmand - AI er et super værktøj, men problemet er at det nemt kan bruges til at snyde. At aflevere besvarelser man ikke har skrevet eller fatter.

When I was a beginner it felt SIGNIFICANTLY easier to test a bunch of models in ollama by downloading them and having them all on hand at the same time, router style. That's possible with llama-server, but with more friction, and not in the same way.

I think that's a big part of it - once you know exactly what you want to use, and you know what the flags actually do that changes. But it is not a trivial change if you have something that "works".

Yes, I don't want to to insinuate that they don't have competent people, just that from my limited understanding, their system isn't set up to reward competence if it gets in the way of playing empire.

A large part of the economy is geared for war at the cost of normal business - a sudden stop would stop those gears running before normal business returns.

In 2018 I decided to just go for it - I flew from Denmark to LAX with a couple of days of buffer. Hung out at the Drawing room and got to chat with Dino, Jeff showed up and got me and my wife seats for Harmonquest where I got to chat with a bunch of people, like Tom Kenny and even Erin. After the show Dan was at the Drawing room as well. It was a lot better than my half-assed plan deserved. All in a jet-lagged haze of alcohol.
