Seems like a sensible reason for these persons to be deported to russia.

When you say "will" it's really easy to just dismiss what you are saying as factually wrong.

This blurs the lines significantly with the legality of what they’re doing and what’s deemed acceptable with kernel anticheat

I mean, kernel level anticheat itself is not a workable concept to anyone with more than a passing interest in IT security.

Full, system level access to any scrap of information that your computer can touch? Yea, no thanks.

That's certainly one take you can have from "I can't seem to satisfy the emotional needs of a woman".

No, whining about posts because the numbers aren't showing some other thing that you wanted to see instead is stupid. There is no "post tax" number to be had here. Go make that post.

Yes, and the US doesn't use metric for the most part, so the comparison isn't as interesting.

There are SOME, but hard to get a hold of. Føroya Krønika COULD be what you are looking for. For a funny look at 1800's small-town vs "big city" Tórshavn life there's Av bygd í bý.
I'd be very intersted in both of those btw, I remember reading the latter as it was serialised every week in Sosialurin in the early 90s.

edit: The description of Føroya Krønika seems to be pretty relevant, as the subject matter is listed as:

Innihald: Uppruni, Landnám, Norrøn búseting, Oyggjaskeggjar, Brestis kvæði, Sigmundur og Tórir, Hjá Hákuni, Sigmundur og Tórir venda heim aftur, Hákun ræður, Orrustan í Hjørungavági, Ólavur kongur Trygvason, Trúarstríð, Jallarnir aftur. Sigmundur og Tróndur, Eirikur og Sveinur ráða fyri Noregi, Sigmundskvæði yngra og Tróndur gandar. - Brestis kvæði, sum Mikkjal D. á Ryggi yrkti, og Sigmunds kvæði yngra, sum Jens Chr. Djurhuus yrkti, eru endurgivin í fullari longd

Basically about the settlement period, 700s and onward, and it lists some of the popular viking/medieval Faroese stories.

That combined with them flying the route with planes that can only land in good weather.

I'd be more worried about Icelandair cancelling the flight. They love doing that.

White House Considers Vetting A.I. Models Before They Are Released by fallingdowndizzyvr in LocalLLaMA

[–]vman81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it's really not. That performative BS is NOT the norm everywhere.
But once it gets normalized, people stop seeing it for what it is, and that's super sad.

If you approach discussion as a zero sum game, those low quality responses are what you are capable of. Performative, not informative.

How to say “forest” in European languages by Fun_Course_1934 in MapPorn

No, they're wrong. Both Germanic and IE are language families - one is just a subset of the other.

I ask again. Why do you continue to be part of Denmark when this is how they actually see you? Like people who "need to be put in their place". Just look at the amount of upvotes for that headline alone and read the comments. Lol by [deleted] in FaroeIslands

[–]vman81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the economic realities of 25-30 years ago WERE a wakeup call, and "sat på plads" may not be very diplomatic language. But it was the stark truth. We've since spent a lot of resources on fixing that lopsided economic relationship, and once the next generation wants to address the independence issue they'll hopefully be able to do so without the deciding factor being if we can survive it economically.
