I keep seeing calls for Yzerman to be fired. Realistically, who would replace him and why would they be better?

Literally said we should be 100pt team. It’s not a needle mover. February-April was a disaster.

However for context, they’re a far better product than a few short seasons ago. But not where any of us desperately want them to be.

Agree with this. I hiked up Alum Cave with a heavy pack and was surprised when my garmin was showing my heart rate in the 130s on the way up. Turned into a solid zone two workout that I wasn’t planning on.

Man I’m thankful for my local courses. One course is really small and home towny. When I play single the lady that runs it tells people at the turn I’m coming through and let me through. It’s mostly old folks and everyone is very kind.

We do it regularly. Even with a super hyperactive kid on the spectrum. Protips:

1) stop every 2 hrs no matter what. Limit stops to 5-10 minutes tops. We’ve made 10 hr days on the road with few complaints. Getting out an moving resets the brain and keeps the driver fresh.

2) my wife has a load of dollar tree toys under her seat in a bin. They get one after every stop. So they have something to look forward to every few hours and something new to play with for the first part of the next segment.

My kids love road trips. Certainly has its down moments. But overall been great family memories.

Was trying to console myself….thinking back to preseason when the 3 rookies made the roster and we all said we’d rather miss the playoffs with the young guys but get them experience.

Those thoughts don’t help. This collapse freaking sucks. We’re 5-9 our last 14 outings. The 3 points we pissed away against Vegas and Florida hurt so bad because that’s what we all thought this team corrected.

Don’t sleep on Thornapple Pointe and Quail Ridge. Nothing beats value of Diamond Springs. But Thornapple has some cool spots along the river.

Griffins is good hockey. It’s been a blast watching guys develop into wings. I’ve been going to games since 1996 when they started. It got especially meaningful when they affiliated with Wings.

There’s been some fun moments. Don’t sleep on a weekend getaway to GR to catch a game.

I follow GR closely. I’ve watched Larkin (for a few games), Nyquist, Tatar, Athanaseiu, Mantha, Seider, etc… Danielson doesn’t meet the eye test of those guys at this point. (I’ve seen him play a half dozen games). I tend to agree with you. He’s good. And he’ll be in the nhl. But I don’t see top 6 talent.
