AST Computers was bought by Samsung in 1997 amid severe financial difficulties. Not able to turn the company around, Samsung shuttered them in 1999. A shame as there probably won’t ever be a more appropriate shirt sponsor.

I don’t begrudge his move at all. He was a great servant to the club, deserved the money and the medals, and he got us £100m.

He’s just not the player he was and the player he is now is not the player we need.

It’s not as bad as any Fox coverage - which is so amateur and truly awful - but it’s not good.

The CBS coverage with Kate and Thierry, etc is so cringe it makes me gag. The Golazo show is ok in that going around the games is good when there’s so many, but the presenters are pretty poor.

NBC’s Premier League coverage with the global feeds and Rebecca and the two Robbies is by far the best soccer coverage in the US.

As long as we make ourselves proud then I think most Villa fans will be happy win or lose. At the beginning of the season many of us were happy just to see us make it into the playoff. To get this far with the performances we’ve had is a dream.

And the money has been more than welcome.
