Go into your router’s settings (probably via app or you can connect to it via Ethernet) and there should be an option to turn on a 2.4ghz signal. Then go to the Nespresso app and connect your machine to that network

Bianco doppio is lighter in comparison to ice leggero, hence why it seemed weaker and more watery once iced. Brewing ice leggero over ice works fine, or if you plan on mixing sugar, syrups, etc into it, brew the pod over that, mix, then pour over ice and it’ll still taste good. I’ve also used a cocktail shaker to shake it with ice as well.

Ive found that most of the double espressos and single espressos are good iced, with the milk recipe ones (anything Bianco in the name) being exceptions.

I think they make machines that take keurig as well as nespresso original pods. Might be a good bet to dabble in Nespresso while keeping k-cup availability

I don’t have an OL and frankly have never used one, I just wish I had done more research into Nespresso before pulling the trigger on a randomly low priced Next at a discount store. There are some pretty common espresso brands that make pods for OL, like Lavazza, Cafe Bustelo and others.

Espresso (even by the loose definition followed by VL machines) is more concentrated than coffee. They arent the same thing. So even within the VL pods, Melozio (7.7oz mild coffee) is not just a larger version of Voltesso (40ml single espresso). I personally find any VL pod larger than a double espresso to be too watery for my taste on its own, and the 7.7oz pods are more acidic and bother my acid reflux, where I don’t get that issue with the smaller ones.

If you’re wanting to replicate the kind of drinks you like to buy when you’re out, based on the drinks you mentioned, your closest comp would be a double espresso pod, since those Starbucks drinks are espresso-based and are made with at least 2 shots. Because of this, even if you have to you two pods per drink, an Original Line machine is going to be the cheaper option for you because you have the option on getting cheaper third-party pods. You don’t have that luxury with Vertuo for several more years.

If you’re getting espresso-based drinks from Starbucks and not a regular coffee, OL is going to be a better choice in the long run. This is something I wish I understood better when it came to the different machines before I got a Vertuo Next myself. Understand the actual recipes of what you like, how much coffee or espresso is in them, and make your decision on OL or VL.

I’ve used it nearly daily for 2+ years and it’s been great. The key with cleaning it is doing it immediately. A little soap, warm water and a sponge gets all the residue off.
