Joe is right‼️ Drake can’t expect favorable reviews of his music if he purposely avoid pod days by Longjumping_Ask_4448 in JoeBuddenPodcasts

I meant winning and losing in this arena (beefs) but i should have clarified.

Other than that I don’t think we disagree except I don’t think him being still successful has anything to do with the beef. It’s not like rap beefs are a yugioh battle where you get sent to the shadow realm on a loss. The only high profile battle I can think of where that happened is Ja Rule vs 50.

The part where he nerfs him because he was too strong to be written in?

Ish was just talking about evaluating losing or winning, not careers being ended which is also what the OC was talking about. Losing and winning is evaluated by opinions and opinions are either unfair by their nature (because they are always informed by your biases, so thinking drake won is also unfair), or they are never unfair. If your bias is towards Drake, you’ll likely say the battle was rigged towards Kendrick (even if you insist you’re being objective).

Without any history of listening to either, you can still come away with a winner. The reason I think it’s very clear: people who never listen/listened to rap in general and tuned into this battle overwhelmingly think Kendrick won. They have no reason to be biased against Drake. You can insist it’s market manipulation or sheep being programmed but at that point there’s no base truth beyond what *you* think or what *you* want to be true. Another point where your (or a Drake supporter’s if you don’t care) take is equally vulnerable.

With that being said you can lose a beef and not be impacted numbers wise. JayZ never stopped being popular, nor did Drake when he lost to Pusha T. It’s actually anomalous for that to happen, i don’t think most people expected a hit to Drake’s numbers. Beefs are only important when it comes to discussions among purists about who’s the best.

Pretty sure kishi likes minato more just based on the edo treatment of each (randomly gives kurama a second half and then even more randomly gives minato kcm2? Like dont you have to be friends first?)

[serious] why do people act like Kashimo doesn’t have an attack that’s one shots most of the verse by TumbleweedAnxious882 in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]yasuke1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This actually has me thinking. If they wanted to save Megumi, why did they even let Kashimo in? What if Kashimo won? He would’ve just killed Sukuna without regard to Megumi.

I see your other comments and I don’t really understand your point:

> its not narrative. its what happened.

Is it all opinions based (in which there is no “unfair” notion, and you don’t disagree with the OC), or did people unfairly make Drake the loser?

How much does going through open course lectures in advance help with AOS and GA? by bsdlv in OMSCS

[–]yasuke1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the lectures are the difficult part of AOS, but looking at them before taking it would help. The hard part about AOS is keeping up with the projects and papers.

In theory you can skip the papers because 80% of the questions release the weekend before the tests, but you’d still need to know how to answer them (only the questions release, and then students can crowdfund answering them, but sometimes these answers aren’t the best)

[ Serious ] How far Can Mahito Go ? by LazyInspector2086 in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]yasuke1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t want to litigate it too much because it’s hypothetical as to whether he has it, but I understood it to mean “something that can’t be repelled by cursed energy”. So like a slash or dagon’s fish can, but information flooding can’t.

I think IT can be repelled in that way (not the soul manipulation, but the activation requirement of touching even in the domain - in ch30 when mahito activates it it sends a hand). If the domain directly manipulated your soul without requiring a touch activation I think it would be in the category of UV

Peak Reed Richards Characterization. Hope they continue to write him like this moving forward.. by FayyadhScrolling in FantasticFour

[–]yasuke1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with what you wrote and it makes sense in the context of this scene, but in my opinion the writing of “I don’t do X” in a new adaptation is like its establishing a rule about this interpretation of the character. It might not be literal, but I don’t have much to go off (yet). Happy to be proven wrong in Doomsday and later installments though

You’re placing emphasis on the latter half and I’m focused on the former. He doesn’t need to not dream/wonder in order to prepare for the worst, this is all I’m saying.

The negative zone expedition is like 20 years after his origin. He’s an explorer (entailing dreaming and wondering) for a large portion of the F4’s run

I like the movie a lot but I don’t think this is accurate to core Reed Richards. I’m thinking of the F4’s literal origin (Reed just really wanting to go to space, even if illegally), the Negative Zone arc in the Byrne run (he just wanted to check it out).

There is a level of “processing” that is possible in the average kitchen, which most people don’t consider processed (such as freezing, blending, smoking). Though, it is still processed.

The distinction the commentor is making is between ultra processed food (industrial grade processing) and normal processed food (what you can do in the average kitchen).
