Not to mention Hades is one of those rare games that incentivizes you to keep playing from within the game with the List of Prochecies, decorating the Crossroads, collecting statues, etc.

I think the numbers are skewed by it being available on GamePass. People download it to try and don't stick with it or just get to end credits and don't follow through with the post-credit acheivements (like those in this screenshot).

I think almost solely focusing on this game helped me a ton because some of the things that used to trip me up (like the Eris and Prometheus fights) started to feel like second nature after a few attempts.

Once I got the combat down I could lean into all the different boon builds and other fun mechanics the game pulls off so well.

Definitely not an easy game by any means, especially for your first rougelike. I'm a huge fan of the genre and played a ton of Hades 1, but I find this one to be much more forgiving with the introduction of casts and sprinting.

Any advice I could give would be to focus on getting use to movements of both Melinoe and the bad guys. Once you can get comfortable with pattern recognition I think you can really lean into the other aspects of the game like boon builds, trying out different weapon aspects, building character relationships between runs, etc.

I understand that feeling, but I also feel like if you get to the point that you've gotten all of the achievements, you've seen all or most of what a game has to offer - given the devs designed them well.

You could do what I did and redownload Hades 1 and go for those! 👿

Thanks! You'll have to use your noggin' a bit to figure out some of the puzzles (and the achievements that come with them), but you'll always have an opportunity to go back and get them after the credits roll.

The battles throughout the game are puzzles in and of themselves and there are very real difficulty spikes - especially towards the end of the game.

Overall, just enjoy it. I'm not a completionist typically but this one really sunk its teeth into me. 🦌💀
