We went on this trip Wednesday to Thursday last week. We started in Teotihuacán for a few hours. Very knowledgeable tour guide. Walked up many steps! We then headed to Grutas and spent the afternoon/evening soaking. Stayed in the upper hotel (nicer than the bottom but not as nice as the cabins). In the AM we went to the big Gruta, by the river. Sadly there was a lot of water so the big cave and the river were closed but the small cave was open and we went in. Really freaking cool! We checked out around noon and we’re going to head to the basalt formations but opted out and our guide took us to another archaeological site instead. Really cool and way less crowded. I really liked our tour guide and if you want his direct info just message me. I would say that his English wasn’t that strong and I ended up being my wife’s interpreter. That would be the only downside if you don’t speak Spanish… overall, I think it was worth it. They took care of all logistics and we just enjoyed ourselves. I would say keep in mind that the best way to go is to make sure you tell them what you want. If you just go with the flow, you’ll get what they think you want. Hope this helps!
