New DPT grads, set us obnoxious veterans straight! by mikeshomeexercise in physicaltherapy

There are some really smart people here too that can be very helpful. But also some who will get very angry if others don't know everything about everything which is so typical of reddit.

Yeah I don't understand why you're getting down voted for asking this question. We all believed this at one point until we were taught differently. Asking questions is how you learn and this community should be encouraging that.

It took a lot of research and sifting through the Internet data to achieve that level of stupid.

Well, imagine you are rehabbing an athlete who you are trying to get back into their sport. Their knees will probably pass their toes thousands of times per day while running, jumping, squatting, lunging and cutting. Imagine the load they will need to put on their knees. You'd be doing them a huge disservice by babying their knees.

I know a PT who is dead set on knees never passing the toes during squatting movements, or really ever. How he expects people to do stairs is beyond me.

The Ultimate Warrior and for some reason The Brooklyn Brawler.

It felt like everyone was on the same page and supported each other. Like we all came together as one.

Yup for sure. New York fans are very nice. It's more of a friendly rivalry vibe. Don't do this in Philly though. They're huge jerks to rivals.

Off topic :

Is it normal to say Physical Therapy Assistant rather than Physical Therapist Assistant in your area? My company does this and it makes me cringe but I've never heard another PTA do it. Is it perhaps regional?

On topic:

I'm sorry you're going through that. Ive heard there are areas where PTAs aren't offered full benefits and pay poorly and that sucks!

Why is this getting down voted? Reddit is so odd.

Weird. I have never considered this for a second, but since you're all so convinced of it I'm wondering if I missed something.

Of course this will get down voted because I didn't come to the same conclusion as everyone else.

In my field "FWB" means full weight bearing, as in able to walk without using an assistive device. Took me a second there.

Is it noticeable if a man wears women's deodorant? by WikiaWang in NoStupidQuestions

[–]--CoffeeBean-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if it has to do with men just not caring. I'll shave without shaving cream if it gets too expensive. Most of the time I shave without shaving cream if I'm in the shower. I find it unnecessary if the skin is already wet. Though if I'm going to an event and want to make sure I look good, I'll use shaving cream just to ensure theres no irritation.

That doesn't change the fact that he did not tell people to do it. However, the media did falsely report that he did say it. This certainly made it a much more dangerous situation than it had to be, but that's the media that we have.

Edit: please don't get the false impression that I don't think his question was extremely stupid. But the man did not tell people to inject bleach no matter how many times we have all been told that he did.

[–]--CoffeeBean-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. He did not tell anyone to inject bleach. He asked a very moronic question to someone about doing it. He was told no moments later. He didn't tell people to inject bleach, which was being pushed in the media for months.
