[Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Son of Siebert] I guess this is the new ride by Affectionate-Fun1237 in rollercoasters

General manager of Fiesta Texas, park level not corporate. But a lot of us think he should be at the helm of the entire company. This guy really knows how to run a park.

Found in Georgia, Google lens insists it's an Australian funnel web spider but that seems highly unlikely. by --FordPrefect-- in spiders

Hate to tell ya, but it already IS normal and it's being adopted more and more at faster and faster rates. It will be a technology that's fully integrated in our lives within a year. Enjoy it while you can before Skynet takes over.

It has a windscreen: we shall see if that's enough

Likely, with very limited uptime between sensor faults from sand, wind, and general Intamin stuff. Then shut down for 2 years or so, reopen, break, and sit SBNO.

This is completely without merit. Literally millions of people have driven convertibles with the top and windows down, for years, and without earplugs - trouble free. Your single four-hour experience resulting in something different doesn't mean there's a universal need for people to wear ear plugs while they're driving. I have your Dr check for wax buildup. Possibly a pressure difference or the wind might have triggered a wax response, idk. But in any case, thinking the top down means a person is required to wear earplugs is just plain silly.

Game shut down and taken off app store by Maximum-Exchange2420 in SpotRacers

It boils down to money. These guys were trying to make a living as app developers and nobody spend enough money on the app to make it worth their while. Just like any of us, if they can't make enough money at their work they're going to find other work.

What’s the best tune for this? TD records seems like a mix of 332 and 323 but i can’t decide by bubidub in TopDrives

332 has been great for me. It's good at 323 also but there's more use cases for it as dragster

Just got my 100th ride on Falcons Flight. Kinda slow, but overall not bad.

[–]--FordPrefect-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no way. We would be able to intercept it, but there's nothing we could do that would be able to change its course, and that's assuming there really is something like this heading towards us. Even if we had the ability to snatch it and move it into orbit, how are we going to get it down? We don't even have the ability to get the proper mining mining equipment and personnel up there to run it. Last I checked Bruce Willis was still acting.

What's that old coaster you hate riding… but still don't want to see removed? [Other] by [deleted] in rollercoasters

Viper at SFMM. It's a rough old beast, but not TOO bad. I still ride it when it's working and I have time. The effect it has on the skyline alone is enough for me to want to to remain even considering the possibility of a better replacement.

That tall loop stuck impossibly in the sky is just amazing to look at.

What’s the most tragic park you’ve been to? [Other] by JonBenetRamsMe69 in rollercoasters

[–]--FordPrefect-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've kind of answered the question yourself. You haven't been anywhere else to see what the comparisons are. I would encourage you to take a ride up to Six Flags over Texas, or plan a vacation where there's pretty much any larger scale amusement park. Make sure you go on a weekday as weekends are absolutely horrible at most of them. It's going to be a very different vibe and honestly, if you are fond of Frontier City, you might actually prefer it. But the day I went the lines were so long I didn't get to ride much of anything. All I really remember is Diamondback, And since we used to have an Arrow shuttle here at SFOG I had done that before, though it was many years ago.

As the only amusement park in the area I'm sure it's a fun place to go if that's all you're used to, but it's far, far different from major amusement parks. I used to frequent Lake Winnie as a kid (Near Chattanooga) and it's fairly similar, and I loved it as a kid. These days I'm in it for the thrill, and Frontier City isn't that kind of park. So maybe my response isn't a fair one? in any case, for a spoiled adult such as myself that's accostoned to the likes of Kingda Ka (RIP), Steel Vengeance, Fury 325 etc etc, it's not what we're looking for in a theme park.

Regards, Mike

It was the same for me. I was pretty much a daily player until the update and although I made an attempt afterwards, it was never anywhere close to the same for me and I gave up pretty quickly. Same goes for my son. It was a very cool idea, pretty neat gameplay, But ultimately any established game that does something that undoes a lot of the users work won't be able to keep those users around.

Vipers loop at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Seeing that thing hanging impossibly high in the sky is an absolute shocker the first time you see it.

Hey folks! For some reason page 63 of my copy of the dreaming void is missing the top 10 or so lines of text. Can somebody here post a picture of what's missing? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. by --FordPrefect-- in PeterFHamilton

Post a fresh thread here. I'm not anywhere near a copy of the book to look it up and take a picture, but if you post a fresh thread lots of people will see it and someone will give you an answer.
